I am gutted. Been looking forward to the new season, even up to 3rd before the first pit stop but on lap 23 I was out?

it will happen randomly
on any CT use
IRL things also break when they are new
its shit, but part of the game
it nearly cost me promotion last season when "driver trow up in his helmet and he had to replace the helmet"

Thanks Mark - you are right it does suck
I spend a lot of time keeping details etc. never once missed a race since I joined through ill health and believe me, at my age, I have had my share oin the past eleven years.
I play a game I want to do well in but I do not enjoy playing games with random elements. I have looked forward so much to this new season and this happens.

well at least it does not happen very often
it really messes up plans and sometime whole seasons though
but hell.... who said life was easy ey?? Gpro aint easy also i guess in this way.
as in everything, Luck is a big part of life as well... i hope this is not start of your promo season at least?

My engine blew on the last lap.
Yeah pissed off as well, but at least I have room to D/G for the next race.
Lets hope it is our one and only for the season.

So random is pretty good when it happens with the car ahead but when it happens with one of us it gotta be persecution and not a random act.

That's on top of 2 randoms last season in races where I was on course for points. I'm not usually too bothered by randoms, but they're getting a bit annoying now

Same but when (in my case) you are running in 2nd on the first race you can truly push at, 30s in front of 3rd, maybe could've challenged for the win and get hit with a puncture that takes you out, yeah i'm quite annoyed :D
And because of expenses i am going to lose money as well, it might be quite the challenge for me to stay up now which is disappointing as this race i probably could've gotten survival

I wasn't the only favourite tracker in my group with a random either.

In my case they don't bother me, but I absolutely love it how they happen only in my best races :D

My first nasty experience with randoms was at S48R10. 4th on the track and with 1 fewer pitstop to go than the guy ahead, so virtual 3rd. Then I hit a random, ended 11th and goodbye Master.
I was infuriated, but in hindsight I shouldn't have banked on that particular race to score. Plus years later I learned what's actually bad. Not one or two randoms, you can deal with that. A streak of bad luck screws you, tho. 9 pure randoms and 6 start crashes (before that I had only 4 in almost 400 races) in a span of <60 races, single handedly (our should I say multiple handedly?) setting my most likely way down to Pro in the close future.

If you have 6 start crashes in less than 60 races, I can't help but think there is something more going on than "random" here.

Yeah, I'd say the same if I was an external observer. However, I went from 1 each 100 races in the first 400 races to 1 each 10 races in the next 60 races while still being the most conservative start risker from my team and consistently losing 3-4 places at the start due to that.
It wouldn't surprise me if somebody blames me. I would probably think the same because it was a too abnormal streak. But it happened.

You should be planning for a random or two just in case. If a random destroys your season then you've done it wrong ;)
