The big gusset slam should be her finisher. can you tell I'm back on the PC?

The good ol' Keeble is finally back! I'm looking forward to the news and your reviews on the boring WWE shows.

Well that was an overall good Raw, the highlight definitely being the Seth Rollins v Sami Zayn match for the spot at the Rumble. And the ending of Raw was kind of awesome :p

I was a bit let down by the ending of Raw. 3 old guys stood there looking at each other doing nothing, it was basically a retirement home.
I imagine the impression of them 3 in the ring was that one of them will win the Royal Rumble...and I'm kind of hoping for a surprise entrant to come in and steal the thing, as I'm not interested isn't either of them 3 in the title picture.
Brock Lesnar's last title reign was boring because he was never there.
Goldberg is known for not being able to do a match longe than 5 minutes so he couldn't hack it at the top.
Undertaker is too old to put on a good match without really hurting himself and who wants to see that?
It feels it's a long shot, but I want Kurt Angle to come in and steal it. I know he's old too but he can still put on a decent match.
I'd rather they give the Royal Rumble win to someone Full-Time though. WWE can't rely on these part timers forever, there getting older and WWE is not exactly creating a lot of "must see" stars like the guys I just mentioned, a Royal Rumble win would help a full-time guy out a lot! If I could choose a Full-Timer to win it, I'd choose The Miz! That guy is so entertaining right now!

There's no chance Angle is going to come back and won the Rumble - he's got indy bookings in Feb and WWE wouldn't have the Rumble winner working in other promotions.
No idea what Goldberg can last as he's obviously been training but not wrestling. All three will have big matches at Mania, but don't need to be as RR winner.
I don't think it's a certainty that one of they three will win, was just a big moment for the 3 big part-timers, 2 not announced so huge pop for the surprises and doubt Taker and Goldberg have ever been in a ring together. They are the kind of guys to draw the part time fans and casual watchers, which is needed for a big 4 PPV, but no need for them to go on and win it (and I'd be disappointed if any of the three did, especially Lesnar).

I know, I'd still take an appearance from Kurt Angle right now though, he doesn't have to win it.
Goldberg had a reputation for not being able to put on a match longer than 5 minutes in his early WWE/WCW days. I don't know what it is with him, maybe he's not good at carrying a match that long, or is only capable of doing certain moves, but I remember reading Eric Bishoff's book and him saying they just put him in squash matches again and again, because he was so over and that's what the fans wanted.
I can't remember what it was, his last run in WWE was over 10 years ago, and we never got WCW in the UK I think, but all I know is he has a reputation for short matches, as that's all he's known to be able to do. I wouldn't be surprised if he got a high number in the rumble based on this.
I hope you're right. I'll be cheering on The Miz on Sunday though, with Bray Wyatt a close 2nd...I imgaine there going a different way with his storyline though.

Miz would be a massive surprise for me but would be delighted to see it. Agree about Bray Wyatt - would be great (especially if help from Orton and Harper with their issues resolved (for now)) but don't see it. I still have an inkling for Jericho.
In all honesty, as long as it isn't one of the part timers, I'll be happy. Although not against them setting up Taker v Cena with it, but wouldn't be my preferred choice.

Anyone watch the Dominant Wrestling event tonight? Just catching up on it now. Was shown on Spike in the UK, not sure about internationally.
Keeble, Carlito is on it - watching him right now!

End of it will need to wait as NXT pre show starting and what a big announcement.
Totally gutted that Corey Graves will be leaving the NXT announce table :(
Was dreading to hear the replacement but it's only Nigel McGuiness!! Awesome!

At least it isn't Todd Grisham, who's replacing Goldberg in UFC :(

Finn Balor surprise return to RR maybe?

Anyone else totally mark out for Rollins at TakeOver? :p

I was stunned that they went in the completely logical direction with it, given it's the obvious thing for Rollins to do if he's searching out HHH. Him actually getting removed by security was hilarious though.
TakeOver Security > WWE Security > Regular NXT Security

I was shocked the had the main roster crossover at all even though it kayfabe makes sense. With Rollins still not booked on the Rumble card at all, nice to see him doing something this weekend ;)

Well, I didn't see that coming...

Great PPV! Best from WWE in a very long time!
They almost ruined it when I thought they were going to have Reigns win the Rumble, but thank god they didn't.
I'm surprised they went with Orton though, since the Cena vs Orton rivialry has been done before. Unless Bray wins it at the elimination chamber maybe?
i hope that's Roman done with the Universal title picture though. Have him move on to a fued with Strowman so I don't have to consider deleting RAW of my sky planner. :)

We can but hope but wouldn't put it past him being in the ring with KO again on Raw tomorrow, but please no. Disappointed that Samoa Joe didn't make an appearance but some solid trolling from WWE by putting Reigns in the Rumble match (knowing the reaction).
On a major plus point, while the part timers are great for the casual fans and PPV buy rates, the final four were all full time superstars and mostly of the current generation. Happy with that.
Away from the Rumble match, all other matches on the main card apart from the women's match, which was a touch weak, were excellent. Well, maybe not weak, but weak compared to what they are capable of. Pretty match stuff was great, and good to see them pull the trigger on The Club.

It was a great PPV and the Royal Rumble was going great....and then Reigns showed up. Hated that part. So glad Orton won even though that's not the Jericho win I wanted. What a waste of the #30 spot and also the #27. That's not the Samoan named Joe we wanted.
No real surprise entrants (not counting Dillinger) so that's a big shame.
I don't understand why Cena won his match, they could have kept that 16th title moment for Mania. I mean, he's going to have a two week title reign and lose it at the Chamber? What really pisses me off is why Styles wasn't involved in the Rumble but Reigns was. That doesn't make any sense to me.

I find it a big shame steve stingerson didn't have a surprise spot! but the odds were in randys favour 1/8 in Uk betting outlets.

Kayfabe answer to that is easy. AJ was champion so will be entitled to a rematch regardless. Reigns was not so has no kayfabe reason to get another shot at the title.

I disagree. If they're wanting Reigns v Taker at Mania then the story has to be started and it most certainly was with their Rumble interaction. Just fingers crossed that they couple it with a Reigns heel turn.
In retrospect, heard someone else make a very good point on Joe. If he wasn't going to win it, having him enter at such a late number could actually have made him look pretty weak, so, for maximum impact, maybe best that his main roster debut is saved away from the Rumble (I'd still fully expect it very soon).

Breaking the record will be the big one, not matching it, and they can't have both at a Wrestlemania, IMO (as too similar a story to pay off at multiple Wrestlemanias). That's not to say that'll happen this year - I don't think it will, so Cena may or may not lose the title soon. Plenty possibilities though, and don't seeing any of it doing AJ much harm.

On a serious note, and kind of related to this, the one thing I did miss from the Rumble was a big name unexpected return from years gone by, along the lines of (but obviously not these guys as been done), Sting, Diesel, Jake the Snake, Hacksaw, etc.
Always nice to have the nostalgia entrant so was a bit sad that that wasn't there. But still a really good Rumble for me.

Oh right that'd make more sense for the 17th to happen at Mania.

I really do not want to see that match at all. :(

when do you think he will break it ?

Keeping Roman out of any title picture at Mania is something I'd be more than happy to see :)
With regards to who should face Undertaker at Mania, I think he's as good as any. Won't be a fast paced match, by any means, but I'd worry if he was in with someone like AJ or Finn that the Undertaker's age would show even more. Styles has an insane ability to carry any match and make almost anyone look better though, but feel Styles could have better opponents to face.
Quote ( James Keeble @ January 30th 2017,16:16:48 ) when do you think he will break it ?
It wouldn't surprise me if it was at a future Wrestlemania. I think the current one is too soon, as would involve a few unlikely quick title changes.

Well who could Styles face? I'm trying to think of any big matches for him and I can't think of any at the moment. The guy deserves a huge match a Mania for what he's done in the past year.
Well, Mr Joe showed up on RAW, I guess we now know why he wasn't at the Rumble. Looking forward to his eventual match against Rollins. :)

I think Styles could put on a better match with half of the Smackdown roster than he could with Undertaker now. But you're right that it wouldn't be a match of the same stature as a fight with Undertaker at Mania would be. As long as it's not Shane McMahon :p

I'm a big Alexa Bliss fan, but last night Naiomi was killing it in the ring on Smackdown! She really impressed me, with her performance in the tag match.
If she puts on performances like that all the time I can see her getting a run with the title!
Also, according to WWE, Seth Rollins injured his knee again on Raw during his attack by Samoa Joe. The injury is legitimate according to wrestling sources as he was in Birmingham Alabama getting it treated.
They don't know how long he could be out though. Or if he will even miss Mania!
