GPRO races at Monaco are actually more exciting to watch than what was served up here :)

The guy interviewing them is Kai Ebel, reporter of the german channel RTL+
I've seen him wearing even worse clothes

Where's the penalty for Palmer? He rejoined the track at a very sharp angle

They shouldnt penalise him! That was the most exciting bit of the race!

I don't understand why Rosberg didn't close the door at Hamilton in turn 1 at the start. Yes, he made a not so great start, but on the second part of the start, ne managed to pull back the gap to Hamilton and he had the edge. Than, he turned right, to be able to cut accross the corner. Had he just close the door, he would have squeezed Hamilton as he had to back off. Sure, Ricciardo would have passed, but Hamilton was the bigger threat for championship.

The best bits were the driver radio comments in the first few laps.

Jenson Button:
Game over.
It's going to be the race from hell.
Broken brakes are no longer a safety issue.

Verstappen:
I'm driving like a grandma.
Kimi is drving outside of track limits.

Vettel:
******** ****
******** ****
******** ****

Hamilton:
Thanks for all the hard work.
Point and click.

The F1 and Mercedes once again show how shit they are.

Mercedes can suddenly make both their cars lap a whole second faster from one lap to the other.

Why would the second placed driver not make use of that when behind? Because Mercedes doesn't want proper team fighting.

All the Hamilton-Rosberg fight is just some convoluted show.

Rosberg could have had that when Ham went off if he wasn't just hanging out two seconds behind all race. And while I get that following to closely will ruin your tyres, I don't get what having fresh rubber does for you if you never use it.

Think about how rosberg lost Austria to Hamilton. he made a small mistake, lewis was pressuring, and in position to capitalize.

Think about how Verstappen overtook Rosberg last race. Rosberg made a small mistake. Max was pressuring and took advantage.

This race, lewis runs wide, loses a second, rejoins a half second ahead. That's not Mercedes fault, and its not super convoluted. It sort of just speaks for itself.

Don't mind Tim, he just needs an excuse to hate on Mercedes.

Kind of sucks that Mercedes is so far ahead.... It's the same thing every race!!

Anyone care to check out an article on my new website and tell us what you think?
It's based on the Rosberg/Hamilton rivalry and the history behind it. http://beyondpitlane.com/2016/07/the-intertwined-legacy-of-l...

A nice short, unbiased summary of their history :)

I do feel it's a somewhat expected history for them. Two people, becoming friends due to having the same interests and the same aspiration of winning the WDC in F1, now stuck in the nasty situation where (arguably) the only thing standing in the way of their dream is each other.

It's kinda why I'm starting to like WEC a lot more now. The only victory is a team victory and everyone knows it. The atmosphere is just so much more emotional and at the same time laid back.
