Totto Wolff said Alonso is a driver he has a lot of respect for, but that was pretty much it. Amazes me how the media have made him favorite for the Mercedes seat from that.

The media read my post because i was the one who broke the news about Button going to Mclaren in 2010 too.

Some Turkish news outlet, or that's my guess at least.

Maybe some confusion with 2007 when Alonso actually did terminate his McLaren contract? :D

I'm convinced Wolff will get Botas in. And then he'll get Wehrlein in at Williams.

How much money would it take to get Kshitij into that seat? Far more than any of us playing this game have, that's for sure.

Massa is confirmed to be coming back from retirement and Bottas going to Mercedes

full story: http://www.bbc.com/sport/formula1/38384982

poor show by Williams dragging a man from retirement, with plenty of youngsters fighting for a spot.
I doubt Bottas's contract is more than 1+1 season

I imagine Princess Pascal will be proper pissed off now :D
Passed off by FI, then Mercedes and now Williams

If they do, they will loose Martini and that is a lot of money. The big sponsors is hard to get. Just look at McLaren.

Don't you rely in Massa's skills? He has collected 53 points this season, while Bottas has collected 85 units. This is not much difference, in my opinion.

No, Williams are specifically not looking for a young driver as Martini do not want one. They want a driver over 25

I also don't love Massa option...but then again, there are already TOO MANY crazy youngsters on F1.
Being a youngster is not a "plus" for me.

Only an extra 50% pretty much.

But still enough for Massa to remain a second pilot.

You can also see larger disequalities:
Alonso - Button 54-21 (and both are world champions, so none of them can be called as untalented)
Magnussen - Palmer 7-1
Grosjean - Gutierrez 29-0
Sainz - Kvyat 46-25 (and Kvyat participated in some races with the faster Red Bull)
Wehrlein vs. Ocon+Haryanto 1-0
