The old snow banner was Javascript based and indeed it was heavy, but the new snow is CSS based so it is as lightweight as possible.

I actually thought this when Vlad donated 30 credits to Santa for the Giveaway..... isn't it odd, I thought, for Vlad with his tax troubles to give money for this contest? Wait, isn't that the money people have spent for their own supporter credits?

Die Hard's great but not really a Christmas movie, just notionally set at Christmas. Like whichever one of the Batmans it was. And same way Mallrats isn't an Easter movie
(still more Christmassy than East 17's Stay Another Day though)

Some people would argue otherwise, for it's often a part of their Christmas traditions to watch these sorts of movies during the Christmas season. My family, however, gets up at 5am Christmas morning to start a marathon with the extended version of The Lord of the Rings trilogy, and those movies have nothing to do with Christmas whatsoever.
