How is this possible? I also had almost 16sec. Slower pit in and outlap as everyone else ... Weird

I had -7%. I assume it was probably on ~0% and then dried up, meaning the wear for that lap on rains with the dry track was ridiculously high

How did you calculate this? I can't get even close to that kind of time lost.

Your tyres were near 0% lap before rain stopped, so when driver completed the inlap, on dry, with high deg for wet tyres on dryt, that's what happens...

EDIT: Too slow :)

If you do a search in the forums you will find others have commented on this in the past.

I think what was said is this game works out how much wear your next lap will be
then you will pit in if you have to
but when the weather changes you may actually do more wear then was predicted (wet tyres in hot dry conditions does a lot of wear)
and then when you pit the next lap you end up in negative

EDIT: too slow to type the explanation for this too ^_^

It's one of the strange things in GPRO. It is still raining when the lap changes (when the pit is made) and the pit crew can't predict it's going to stop in 0,001s, so they put wet tyres.

What is your "When the track is dry" setting on Race Setup and strategy page?

when pitting immediately Staffs stress comes into play
those others that made faster pit check if those waited +1 lap
that takes the stress effect out but instead they are out 1 more lap on wrong tyres....so it all depends on which you feel is faster dont just blindly look at the pitstoptime Marcel.

one thing you can think about is that wet tyres on dry track lose less time than dry tyres on wet track but wares more so you can try this and see
wait to pit if start raining = 0
wait to pit if stops raining = 1

the random time of stress is ofc higher the lower the staffs stress is.

other variables also comes into play....such as if you have wet or dry setting, temp....

I would see the negative tyre percentage as coding bug, because it really mean nothing.

I agree, when my tyre percentage turns negative, I should have a tyre puncture.
