The Christmas promotion text says that you will get an extra 10/20% "this" month, which at time of reading is January, but the promotion has ended.
Obviously you'd have to be a monumental moron to think the offer is still valid as the text makes references to xmas and the date it was posted is also visible.
It got me doing a quick double take to check if it was on or not, glad I am capable of reading.

Are you talking about the announcement? The one dated 14th December? And it doesn't say "this month", it says "starting now and until the end of the month" and, again, was announced and dated 14th December.
Don't normal people hide the latest announcement once they've read it? :/ If you were to say that was dated, I imagine many announcements would be dated if you left them up and read them weeks later :p

An announcement saying that the promotion had ended couldn't have been a bad thing.

Because people didn't read the first announcement any time in the first 17 days it was up? It's never been needed before.
See after the new season announcements, should we have another one a bit later to tell people the season isn't new anymore? :p

Can you hide announcements? I can't find that. In my opinion it would be a good thing to hide the Christmas promotion after January 1st and put the welcome to season 56 announcement on the homepage.

I said it wouldn't have been bad, not that it would have been good :)

On home page there's a grey arrow next to "recent discussions in the forum" which hides the announcement and lists another 4 or 5 topics from the list of most recent forum posts when you click it. see below :

With the holiday season quickly approaching, we keep the tradition of offering you our annual Christmas supporter promotion. Starting now and until the end of the month, for every supporter credit you buy, you will receive 10% bonus.
Misleading thread title. Also not a suggestion.

The announcement says 14th December.
If it misleads people into spending then they were too stupid to have important things like money in the first place. Just let GPRO have it.
