Because I'm using tires based off tire wear. I.E: Medium tires for medium tire wear. I think my choice of tires is what's hurting me in the races.

Tyre choice depends mostly on temperature and track tyre wear. In colder races tyres don't wear so much so you can use softer tyres.

This doesn't require a seperate forum post
Tyres depends on track wear and temperature. Naturally you will need harder compounds for hot races and softer compound for cold races

Mostly, yes, they do tend to use extra softs more than normal in Rookie :D But that should make it easier for you (if the tyre is chosen properly) as the extra softs may require more stops as they would wear faster, so even if they are faster the gain may not be enough to cover additional stops.

Look at temperature, track wear, and pit in/out time. If your opponents are using XS all the time, it'll be hurting them more than you.
Unless they're supporters.

It could be. But while extra softs are ostensibly the fastest tyre over one lap they don't always match well to the weather and or track conditions.
For instance, in the last race, rain tyres would be faster than XS's.

Do people who cover their chips with sauce have inferiority complexes? Do people who have been in Jaguar Racing have to sign a 'confidentiality' contract? Do people who train everything but legs at the gym even have a family?
Not everybody likes to use XS tyres, only the really inexperienced ones will do it every race.

Its a supporter feature.

I can see in your profile that you are a supporter, what has a supporter feature got to do with rain tyres or xs tyres? Can you explain the feature to a newbie ?
But rain tyres are faster than slicks in rain, even for not supporters, are they ?

Oliver ignore him, he should know better than to post such answers in the newbie thread.
All compounds are available with or without supporter status.
Supporters do not receive any performance advantages, tyre speeds are the same with or without supporter status.
