Use your past data to see how much you'll need ,until you get some data you can only guess ,the wiki has some help though.

You can start using GO from now on. http://mbjerg.dk/gpro/

Analyse the data you already have. Look at the track characteristics and work it out.

Use your common sense on tyres. You know ES will never last long when temp is very high. Fuel will never be more than 280 liters per race http://wiki./index.php/Fuel.

Besides this game is all about data gathering and that takes time, so take your time and most of all have fun!!

To Managers replying in the Newbie forum**

If your answer is not constructive - For Example, "FOBY" on its own, or isnt helpful then please dont bother to post at all, we appreciate your assistance helping out less experienced managers but you shouldnt insult them for asking questions even if the answers are available in the documentation. We ask that you remember you were once a newbie and maybe you can remember the help or abuse you received, lets break the cycle shall we?

Any excessive abuse of these guidelines will be met with action by the GPRO Crew

Hi,

How do you calculate tyre wear and gas consumption to plan your pit stop?

Regards,
Max
I suggest you try to join a team doesn't matter which team just any team. Always a major help

Next I suggest you read this:
http://wiki./index.php/Newbie_Top_Tips

REMEMBER! Collect any data possible!

Finally If you need any further help don't hesitate to mail someone, i.e. me if your request is not FOBY then I am more than willing to help!

P.S. Abbas, please learn to use the edit button and also what Zoltan said!

Note that there are two different "types" of fuel calcs. If you do a stint with percentage fuel remaining, you do something like -

fuel_start - fuel_left_percent / 100 * 180 = fuel_used
fuel_used / stint_len_km = L / km

On the last stint, you get actual fuel remaining. This is more accurate.

I calculate fuel for each stint for various reasons. Short stints ( < 10 laps) may be less reliable than longer stints for calculating fuel.

You may want to note other stint factors and see if they influence fuel use.

Calculate tyre wear the same way, by stint. You will especially want to note conditions for the stint such as average temp and see if they effect tyre wear.

I have a program which computes this stuff for you, if you are a supporter and can download race analysis files. Some people use GO. I don't because it requires you remember to run it at certain times. For awhile I did all my calcs by hand, which I don't suggest if you are going to keep playing this game. An Excel sheet can also be used if you are handy with Excel.

It is FOBY, but with a little simple math you can figure it out, that is all I will say

Each track has certain characteristics

if it is a high fuel consuption-check your other high fuel past results. Look for factors that can change that number for this race.

eventually, after you have collected some data, you will start to figure out patterns that will allow you to make closer calculations or guesstimations.

Do the same for tires.
