++++ a holiday celebrated by Muslims worldwide to commemorate the willingness of Ibrahim to sacrifice his son as an act of obedience to God. +++++

If my god asked me to do this task I would severely call him into question.

"Go sacrifice your own son you great omnipresent Twit !! "

anyway have a good Eid-ul-Azha

first of all Eid Mubarak to all Muslim friends on gpro.

I also wish happy thanksgiving day to all Christian friends too.

Baxter ur comment is a bit offensive. according to Christian religion Jesus is son of God. but according to Muslim religion Jesus is one of 124.000 prophets of Allah. like Ibrahim, Moses and Muhammed. I just wanted to say it. didnt want to discuss about the differences between religions. but ur comment is about and around ur own belief.

just wanted to remind that if u want to comment on one's religion u should look through their window. surely to understand what this is about u need to read and understand the life of Prophet Ibrahim.

Baxter ur comment is a bit offensive.

Thank you, but I don't wish to offend yours or any religion.

The story of Abraham and his son Isaac is also taught in the Bible and I was making a comment on my own upbringing.

There are many parts of religious doctrine I disagree with and question. I live in a country where it is our right to question without persecution. (I was not born here but recently immigrated)

I don't follow religion blindly. It's caused it's share of war.

To each his own but I would rather rot in Hell than murder my son. And if My god can't see that then he's not worth the cloud he sits upon.

Have a happy holiday and God Bless

happy eid-ul-azha

English wikipedia fiest paragraph:

Eid Mubarak (Arabic: عيد مبارك‎, Persian/Urdu: عید مُبارک) is a traditional Muslim greeting reserved for use on the festivals of Eid ul-Adha and Eid ul-Fitr. The phrase translates into English as "blessed festival", and can be paraphrased as "may you enjoy a blessed festival". Muslims wish each other Eid Mubarak after performing the Eid prayer. This celebration continues until the end of the day for Eid ul-Fitr (or al-Fitr) and continues a further three days for Eid ul-Adha (or Al-Adha). However, in the social sense people usually celebrate Eid ul-Fitr in the same length as Eid ul-Adha, such as family visits, and exchange greetings, such as "Eid Mubarak". It is notable that saying these exact words is a cultural tradition influenced by deep roots of religion in it; however, it is not part of any religious obligations. Speakers of Arabic might also add "kul 'am wantum bikhair." Which means "[May] you be well every year

I am no relgious expert on Islam, but it in South Asia, we seem to replace "d" with "z" for muslim religious festivals' names.

Example: Arabic spelling seems to be "Ramadan"; we spell it "Ramazan" around here. No idea why this happens though.

Anyway, Eid Mubarak.

From what I know this was a task to the prophet so is was his duty to listen god words.
So he did that and god saved his son and gave to him a male sheep to cut instead of his son.

I have read this somewhere in wikipedia.
