They can't even win the African Nations Cup, despite being favourites for the last few tournaments. What makes you think they will be able to do so well on an even bigger stage?

Think England will win their group and don't see them having any problems beating Australia, Serbia or Ghana in 1st knockout round (don't think Germany will have any problems winning their group so one of they three will be runners up).

I think Brazil will win this year because they have good team, but football game is 90 minutes so everything is possible!

An Italian (Gilardino?) to become top scorer after they completely destroy New Zealand.
England to reach the semi finals.
Spain to lose in the semi finals.
Netherlands to go out in the 2nd round after Robben and van Persie get injured.
Other wildcard predictions.
Serbia to top Germany in the group.
Slovakia to go through with Italy.
South Korea to go through in Group B

I think that the refs will be a crucial role in the final game. The ref will be biased to one side near the end of the game. I have no faith in referees these days.

I am surprised there is 98 votes for England, and 97 for Brazil. I would have thought Brazil are a stronger force. Then again, we have our best chance at the cup in ages. But, knowing us, we'll be against Portugal, and a goal will be disallowed, forcing us to penalty shoot outs. It's almost been worthwhile giving us a head start on the shoot outs just incase.

For me one of the Spain, England and Brazilia trio. Would say Argentina also but don't trust their coach. He left out Zanetti and Cambiaso. I mean wtf.

Here in Brazil, President Lula has a reputation for bad luck. Who meets with Lula, has bad luck (cold foot, as we says in Brazil) :
2005: Ronaldo gave the shirt of Brazil for Lula. Brazil lost in the quarterfinals of the 2006 World Cup for France.
2006: Corinthians. He kissed the shirt the team, and he was relegated in 2007.
2007: Fluminense. He won the team shirt. Fluminense lost the final of the Libertadores 2008, on penalty shootouts. At home.
2008: Lula wins a Chelsea shirt, presented by Luiz Felipe Scolari (Big Phil). Big Phil is fired and Manchester United are champions.
2009: Flamengo. He took pictures with his shirt. Flamengo lost the State Championship, after 3 years, for Botafogo, the "always second place".
He could have taken a photo with the Argentina Squad.
