Quote ( Josh Clark @ April 18th 2013,01:32:38 ) It's early in the season. There could be spots at Toro Rosso by the end, as I know Vergne's contract runs out, and who knows, he could promote to the sister team... I don't see Webber being signed by a front running team, however. Why on earth would Red Bull's "junior academy" hire a driver that's already been driving for the big boys for years, and why would Webber go there?

Quote ( Jed Lilly @ April 18th 2013,01:32:29 ) Not a team player And Vettel is? At least Webber helped Vettel to his first title by pitting early to lure Alonso into the pits and also damaging his own chances for the title.

I think the same. Of course, Webber could be a mentor for the other Torro Rosso driver, but this means "wasting" another junior seat. I don't see this happening.

Maybe you should stop finding excuses for Vettel's nonsense in Malaysia. He made a complete mess of it. Yes, Webber made a mess then ... but it wasn't such a big deal. Now Vettel actually behaved stupidly, both on track and via verbal statements.
"He's too slow, get him out of my way ... "
I haven't heard Webber make such statements back then.

i don't think its the fact that Vettel overtook Webber which annoys people.
Its Vettel's lies and the comments , i did it by mistake? i did not understand the order?
All rubbish which came out of his mouth, thing is he is trying to be like schumi at least with schumi you knew what you got rather than the rubbish which comes from vettel.
Also last race i notice all the vettel fanboy's did not seem to notice him choking his once chance to overtake lewis :)

Quote ( Peter Willmore @ April 18th 2013,21:09:35 ) Its Vettel's lies and the comments
Exactly. A guy like Seb will always go for the win, no doubt about that. But to disobey orders and the lie that he didn't understand orders, I can't like that.

António, the problem with that incident is that Webber didn't overtake him. Yes, he disobeyed the team by not keeping a 3 second gap, but he did what Rosberg did at Malaysia and constantly showed that he was faster. He had multiple opportunities to go for the overtake, but he never did. That's one difference.
And other than that, Peter hit it on the spot. Showing what he can do under pressure (Montreal 2011) :P.

Actually, Rosberg did overtake Hamilton, at least two times as far as I can remember seeing before Lewis got by again. I don't know if the cameras caught it though, maybe they did for one.

That was before we heard the order given for Rosberg to stay behind, I think it was going on at the same time Webber & Vettel were first battling after coming out of the pits so it got a bit lost, and only half of it was caught on camera anyway. It was a bit strange though, the first broadcast radio was Rosberg requesting to be let by. So either there was an unheard order before that to stay behind. Or his request to be let by turned into an order not to even try to get by?

Did anyone saw Bianchi's lap on FP2, amazing oversteer that was gorgeous to the eyes of fans.

Max outlapped him this time, both those Marussia drivers are pretty good, Bianchi never ceases to amaze me :)

What I meant by it is when Rosberg was told to stay behind (or at least when the team radio was put through the tele), then Rosberg stayed behind, but right up Hamilton's arse. He complained and asked to be let through, saying that he is faster and went to overtake then backed off, then RB told him to stay behind and that Lewis was told to go slow. THAT part is basically the exact same as Webber and Vettel, Vettel saying he's too slow (when I recall Webber was asked to go slow), Vettel was told to stay behind and didn't.
Although he showed that he has killer instincts, needed to win a world championship, but I'm sure that he still has to adhere to what his team tells him, surely...

Alonso or Kimi for the title will do me. I admire Alonso's passion when he wins, whereas Kimi is just as cool as they come. If either of them win the title it will be great, and I guarantee that if they did, there'd be no question about it, or their attitude. Total professionals. Watch and learn, Seb. :)

it's too late for him, he's too old i think now. although it would be nice to see him get the better of Seb in some races, even if it means putting him in a wall!

And Vettel said before China "Webber didn't deserve that" about him winning the race (please tell me what he meant by it, any Red Bull/Vettel fanboys, as that's what it seemed), if Webber wins the championship (which unfortunately he won't), then that would just be brilliant :P.

Right, I guess it was after Ross made the call. Then again, that's hard to tell when you're watching live with no commentary! :P

Red Bull and Mercedes was did a team order on Malaysia GP. - at the time, Webber used medium compound tyre and Vettel used hard compound tyre (right?) - I thought Hamilton was slower than Rosberg, you could heard the conversation between Brawn, Rosberg, and Hamilton during lap 53 until 56.
Btw, poor Webber at China GP, start from pit, had an incident (with Vergne) and must retired b'coz lost the rear wheel when he was in front of Vettel (remember he was likely lost the engine power after he changed hid front wing?). Hopefully he can competitive this year (maybe his last year on F1/Red Bull)

Webber was on the hards and Vettel was on the medium tyre.

When Rosberg was asking to overtake because he can go quicker, Brawn told him that Hamilton was asked to go slow.

:O Really?
Well, bring in Frjins, so he can hit Bianchi(again)!
As for Rosberg: He kept being stupid and overtook Hamilton in the first DRS zone, only to be re-overtaken by Hamilton in the second DRS zone(start/finish). This went on for sometime until Ross "Brownie" had seen enough I guess.

Quote ( David Jundt @ April 19th 2013,18:16:32 ) re-overtaken by Hamilton in the second DRS
Hence why I don't like the idea of 2 DRS zones

Very, very Amazing... I'm a Toyota fan since they entered to F1 (2002), it's the best notice that i had in this season...

The only thing Toyota acheived in F1 was to become the most soulless team in history.

Toyota possibly returning. Honda engines possibly returning. All I can say is this: the more, the better!
