Just for stat-aholics:
1) Fastest rising champion 2) One of only 4 managers who have managed to win a tri-championship (Justinas won 4 though). 3) Consistent top 10 in elite with financial power to use premium tyre in nearly every season except one. 4) NEVER relegated on his career. 5) Most qualifying records (9) 6) Most track records (6, tied with Robert Laszlo)
6 reasons to be a 6-time champ.

Well done Roland, congratulation

Now is time for 7th CUP in S65 :-)

Fantastic job, Roland!
It's even more splendid that it looks like as I saw Dudek's preparation for this season. His packet wasn't worse than mine last season - I'm really, really impressed. And I hope that we will fight for P1 someday :)

We’ve all seen that monstrous TD you signed Radek, “some day” may arrive sooner than later ;)

Congratulations Roland. I'm not exaggerating when I say you are an inspiration. I try to watch and learn, but don't worry, I don't have a clue. :D

There are three types of people play GPRO: Maths Champions and Maths Noobs, and you, Sir, are a champion. Good effort, Roland.

Thanks everyone! I should say something here like usual..
This was a really fun season for me, because the racing was so close right from the start. It always felt like I had to think really hard about every strategy option, and try not to be lazy or routine about any decision, which is a danger sometimes tbh :) My secondary goal was to win in 16 races because the 17th would be massively costly to push properly (curse of the 30mil champ bonus among other things). I only barely achieved that with some good fortune in the last laps at Austin (ty Martynas), so it still felt like a high-pressure, tight season until that moment even though I'd eked out some lead during the second half of the season. Anyway, I have to thank Lukasz for his strong performance without which the season might've been very boring. When someone's scoring podiums virtually every race and usually the best you can hope for is to push them to 2nd place by winning yourself for just +2 points differential, it's a really interesting challenge, and we both ended up facing that.
The energy era is 99% about drivers and my Senna-eque one was gifted to me by my good teammate Paulo, who did the hard work training him. Thanks mate, and I'm sorry you couldn't take him all the way yourself. Hopefully this result is a good second best :)
I need to also give big thanks to my wingmate this season, Alpo. It's always invaluable having someone to bounce around strategy options with, but he also had the pace to cause problems for Lukasz and finish ahead at several races after lots of last-minute strategy brainstorming, which proved critical in the end. It was really a team effort, and I hope I can repay the favour sometime soon!
Last but definitely not least I need to thank Matti for not jinxing this whole thing, though I swear you came pretty close ;)

Well done Roland.
I still hate that champ bonus cheat code in Elite.
I hope they nerf that crap soon.

Quote ( Michael Keeney @ June 1st 2018,21:15:12 ) I still hate that champ bonus cheat code in Elite. I've paid some big ones in my time, they're not all avoidable, and I lose a great driver by avoiding this one. It would seem fairer if it applied retrospectively but then we'd have some champions suddenly facing 60mil bonus costs and relegating.. not sure that's ideal. Though I did once suggest all Elite champions should be relegated to Master to mix things up :)

What about Elite champions forced back to Rookie but with their untrainables?
|
|
|
You'd get people trying to finish 2nd to not have to go back to rookie.
