Quote ( Tim Wagner @ August 28th 2016,22:37:46 ) I'm sure if that had been Hamilton instead of Kimi you would be fuming all over the place.
FIA, driver stewards, SKY F1 (Brundle), Edie Jordan, and many other "neutral/unbiased" professoinals too...

Don't address the valid points I made and just thumb down is the alternative if you are too afraid to attempt a discussion ;)

A serious loophole and Mercedes made a big profit out of it.
So you use 3 engines take 75 positions in the grid but since you can only drop 21 they erase the other 54, giving Hamilton 3 engines for the end of the season.
Let's be honest there is nothing heroic in changing the engines between FP's, the teams know how to do it and the engines are made to be replaced quite swiftly.
In fact sacrificing just one race (with high probabilities of still ending in the points) has given him a big benefit.
So whats the use of 25 grid position penalties?
IMHO he should still have to pay for the other 54.
But back to the race.
Hamilton made a nice race but I don't consider it superb as other seem to claim, he had luck on his side and better insight than other teams.
First on Lap 1 he was able to advance 6 positions just by the incidents, and some of those positions included drivers that would normally be competitive.
The race was stopped 2 laps after the accident which in SPA is a lot due to the distance, and other cars had stopped, thus making him able to get near the top and erase all distance. So he effectively started on p5 (just remember that Hulkenberg had pitted and came out in front of him).
Mercedes had a nice strategy that relied mostly on a SC and the podium was mostly due to the SC and the race being stopped, Without that he would have finished in the points but most surely around P5
No, I'm not a Hamilton hater, but I feel that objectively, and not being all sheer luck, but he and Mercedes were lucky.

Let's be honest you don't understand anything about cars for doing such summations.

Actually you were by just going over the one quote compared to the others.
Tell me, what is cool about cutting across at 300kph+? Do you think this is a driving standard that should be back in F1? So that we can some more airbourne cars and crashes that can kill drivers, marshalls or spectators?
Verstappen's only comment on that move was "Nothing happened so it was ok", but at some point, something will happen.

It appears to me you have no knowledge of F1 then.
The mechanics are specifically trained to remove/change car parts. While it might be heroic to us, in the sport itself it's not noteworthy.

I am Dutch and a max fan, but max under pressure is like Jos....and thats not good. He ruined the bottom himself to go on the high curb turn 1. He should have take his loss and waited after the turn to go and get his places back. During the race, the defending is on ( imo little bit over) the limit.( if you look at the rules) After the race, the interviews? I am also a guy of winning a lot of all costs, but for me this was also too much and most of all immature. Age of 18 is no excuse. Hopefully he will learn from this. If not, he will never be a future champ.

Ah, the old quote that he used to justify crashing Prost out on purpose with. I love it when people try to use that one out of context.

When Maldonado does it...just another day at the office.

that's in fact a great sentence. Many people do this, like you posted...

Cant decide between Dutsen and Jenshtch
Like them both cos they`re equally terrible. Reminds me of Vogons.

this is the reason its so terrible!
anyway, sorry for getting carried away. Belgian grand prix!
I actually thought this move was the most terrible. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nD_sGtCMLiQ kid just lost control and yet Kimi had to give position back. Despite they both actually went off track..? Would have been weird if it wasnt for Formula 1 politics, which is pretty straightforward actually.
