A lot of assumptions made without knowing what true driver energy is. Probably should wait till end of race before blasting the system. Its fun to read though!

Quote ( Andrey Vlaskin @ September 16th 2016,21:29:22 ) This is a very bad introduction in the game. I think many will go out of the game and the real managers will no longer swing young pilots. On the contrary, there will be a lot of double accounts, which will swing the pilots for its major accounts. This will kill the game.
You're absolutely right! This is really the most stupid introduction for many years... And OK, let's have energy, it's not a bad idea itself, but if you can run only a half race, it's very stupid... We have now the problem of the real F1. Fans wants to see the best drivers pushing to the limit, but instead they have some sh*tty rules, which make them keeping tyres and driving too slow while thinking about their strategies and not about real racing. As in Formula 1 most fans are very unhappy with the current situation, it was not hard for the creator of this "energy" to think what would happen in GPRO too. And I'm even more angry now, because this almost ruined my perfect plan to retain easily with using the motivation of the driver and then decreasing his overall rating in order to extend his contract, Many players, including me used to do this for many seasons.

It's sad to see a racing game where you have to tell your driver to take it easy and don't drive very fast, otherwise you will get a ticket for speeding...
Bull...

This race became a slowness race :DD this is funny :D almost everybody lost 2-3-4s :) my currently time 28.7 and I am the fastest :D but this is rookie time

IMHO supporter can begin to demand the return their money. This is new game - not GPRO for which they paid the money.

Quote ( Martynas Bražėnas @ September 16th 2016,21:44:33 ) what happens if you run qualifying soon after race update while your driver is still on very limited energy? Will the qualifying button be grayed out and unavailable until your driver recovers energy or will you be forced to keep the car on the track?
From what I've read you can do Q laps on 0% energy - I think!

So Ama should be able to use 100CT? If it's done right it should balance the game where those who have the best package generally get the best result. Whether it makes it too driver dependent remains to be seen.

Speak for yourself. I support the game and I love the change. So many things to FOBY, so many new tactics to try and face :-)

Yeah... the formulas may need tweaking a little.
To all moaners: Have a little patience.

Quote ( Sam Tipple @ September 16th 2016,21:37:23 ) I don't get what's so difficult to understand about "only a few drivers can run a whole race on maximum risks". Obviously Pro drivers wouldn't last the race anywhere near max risks.
Thank you admins for this great change. Brings some relevance to strategy.
But now I have drive only with not more than 50 clear risk and other (again PRO) drivers can drive with 60-70 or even more. So they are faster because of their skills but they become even more faster because they can use higher risk and the balance between driver, car, staff and all the other things is completely lost. Now everything depends on the driver...

Certainly not.
The question is that is this new game a better game or a worse game

agree The best way to block crazy managers in lower groups using 100CT is simply limit max CT risk you can use in the race.

The only people complaning about it are people who are afraid of it. People who got in some team just for calculators and predictors or those who spend money on those online predictors,so they just need to fill few boxes and everything is there for their race... where's the fun in it?
When something makes you to use your head ,that's automatically bad thing...

I thought only at 0% energy times would drop, but it seeks a more gradual process.

They have done it wrong, look Elite or Master groups.

What's the point of having 100CT if you can't actually use it. It's like having a speedo on the old E type Jaguar that had 160 on the speedo but nobody ever got it tothe limit :)

I think I misread or misunderstodd the rules that we woudl see energy during the live race - that does not seem to be the case.
Will we see an energy trend during the race in the post-race data, so does energy use get impacted by the 'push' laps or reduce in pit laps?
|
|

Do we have to FOBY how much Spa increases energy by or is the information already available in newbie guide / general questions?

energy system has been failed. Watching are continuing...

And you know their driver stats, CT etc?
Jeez so much complaining despite a pretty good warning before the race which hasn't even finished yet.
The best managers will adapt.

I like how it played out in the race, too bad we'll probably all have it figured out by race 5.
Hopefully there are enough track or weather-specific variables to keep us guessing longer.
