Hello

I'am new here and after 8 races total and 4 races gathering data I spotted something weird to me. I noticed that all my race lap times (excluding pitting laps etc.) are better than Q2 and even Q1 lap times. Do i do something wrong or it's normal thing to happen?

Yep, you can consider the warmup distance of your tyres.
Pipirelli perform better with more time use

You can also consider track evolution (more and more rubber is put down on the track throughout the race) and maybe you were simply asking your driver to push harder.

So - for example - Portimao GP:
Q1 time is 1:37.960
Q2 time is 1:40.854
and the second lap of race is 1:36.539

I was thinking about fuel load difference and my first thoughts was: "in Q1 I have nearly no fuel left, in Q2 I have that many fuel as at the race start so lap times in the race will be between Q1 and Q2 lap time" and that is confusing, becouse with many more fuel at the race start I do better lap time than in Q1? I don't understand this. :( To this moment I've been using "Keep the car on track" for Q and 0 Clear track risk at race so I don't think that this is a problem.

Were you using boost laps from the start ?
ie: Laps 1,2 & 3.

Your Q risks are very conservative in the dry even for Rookie.
Maybe try "Push a little "

That is the great thing about Rookie non promo season, you can experiment with different things.
Best way to learn 😊

I would say simply the concentration of your driver. If it's low, than your Q1 and Q2 times won't be amazing. Or other low attributes of your driver.

The concentration is 236 so I don't thing that's it.

I researched a bit and saw that best lap time in race is always better than Q1/Q2 lap time, so I don't understand but got it :D

So then I will ask one more question: Is it any difference in doing practice, Q1 and Q2 3 days before race or couple hours before the race? I mean - I can do this any time but always "just to be safe" I want to do is ASAP - Is it something wrong?

The great thing about only having 2 races each week is it gives enough time for almost anyone to do their stuff. There is, and hopefully never will be, any advantage to doing practice or qualifying earlier or later. Unless you believe you can gather useful information from other people's qualifying laps.

What about the fuel load weight in Q2 then, does it have an impact for your setup? Q1 has nearly no fuel on board, Q2 a lot, so I believe the perfect setup is between a car that is loaded with Q2 fuel and nearly empty fuel?

@Kamil Wiśniewski (R62) .. It takes time to learn and the more we learn the more insight/composure we get based on past results/performances :)

If you do it in the last minute, you might loose some energy, if you do it soon enough the energy can refill more than if you do it in the last possible minute.
