no, 2 times.the first world series washington won it in 1924 against the new york giants that in the meantime have changed city and now they are called san francisco giants .... I have to see the statistics maybe it is the worls series with more victories away

It's crazy here in the greater Washington area. I was lucky enough to go to Game 3 in Washington after my wife surprised me with tickets. I would share pics but @Florencia Caro (M4) hates me and won't give me image rights. :-p

The way baseball does things is that when a team moves they keep their historical records. The 1924 winning club moved to Minnesota in 1961 to become the Twins. So as sad as it is, the old Senators records officially "belong" to the Minnesota franchise.
The current Washington baseball club moved from Montreal in 2005 and so they carry the Expos franchise records, as ridiculous--and meaningless to Washingtonians--as that is. This is the first championship of the Nationals/Expos franchise.
