RIP Sir Stirling Moss indeed
But don't be too sad, this can also be a day for rejoice. Instead of being old and ill, He's roaming the happier racing grounds now... :)

A truly sad day for the world of motor sport. To my mind the greatest driver in Formula One to never have won the championship, and one of the greatest drivers in sports cars as well.
His legacy will live on, as will his unbeatable record (as he so often liked to point out) of 10:07:48 at the Mille Miglia alongside Jenks, in what was perhaps the greatest racing performance of all time.
Godspeed.

A true gentleman of the sport who was liked and respected by the paddock as a whole. The best driver never to have won the World Championship and that was because of his true sportsmanship. Arguing his rival shouldn't be disqualified even though it cost him the title.
A sad loss to sport as a whole and mankind

One of the best ever, & one of the few true gentlemen F1 ever saw.
And TCM just broadcast "Grand Prix" again last night. He coulda been a star.
Didn't he get stopped for speeding once, & have the cop asked, "Who do you think you are, Stirling Moss?" :D
He will be mourned.
