There will be a reward system in place, forthwith, based on your performance, depending on your team's multiplier, and some credits too. To make it not unfair to new players, their will also be a new player credit bonus, depending on the team they chose.

Match 7
And so we reach the mid-point of the regular season. A cracking result for Seb's Real Madrid over Balint's Atalanta, with no fewer than 10 goals in total scored, 7 of them for the home side. Balint will take a point no doubt, but Real moved above his side in the table after this result. Toulouse and Crystal Palace had an entertaining game that ended 4-2 for Romain's side. Gary will be frustrated to lose again, and now drops to the bottom of the table. Perhaps the upcoming games can be better for him. Toulouse now move into the top 4, with dreams of a Championship finals place to contend. Bournemouth finally got themselves a win, a 4-1 thrashing of Leicester who are starting to tumble down the table in a similar vein as last season. Shannon will be hoping this form does not see his side slide any further than 5th. Peter has plenty of credits in the tank, and hopes of avoiding relegation will certainly be high if he can get the Cherries on a good run. Not forgetting to mention Juventus climbing to the top of the League A table for the first time of the season after they saw off Wolves 4-1. Jun's side are looking in good shape, and remaining unbeaten. Kyle's side drop into the relegation spots and he'll want to see some improvement soon after recent poor results.
In League B, Man United won for the 7th time in a row with a 5-1 hammering of Bayern, and Sudeep may well have his sights set on Peter's record of 9 in a row. Can the Reds get themselves to 10? We shall see. Bayern drop out of the A League spots with this defeat, as Chelsea's narrow victory over Ajax see's them jump into 5th. Ajax maintain 2nd place, but the pack behind have closed in on them as Barcelona and PAOK both enjoyed 1-0 wins over the two sides at the bottom who've not made submissions for quite some matches now.
From Match 8, you'll now play the sides in either the division above or below in the remaining half of the regular season. This is to ensure points can be carried forward into either the A League Finals or the Championship Finals from the regular season results against others that reach them.

Thats crazy how 18 credit difference + me being 1 press higher has resulted in losing by 3 goals
|
|
|
10 more credits would have earnt you a point, 19 more for a draw.

You can see that Sudeep is angry I pushed him down to League B... :D

|

Careful , he might have the last laugh this season yet 😆

Season written off after one moment of stupidity/senility when I did not press send after typing up the entry...
Ah well always next season...

You're two points away from the A League Play-Off. I wouldn't give up hope just yet Keith. If you can achieve promotion even that way, you'll stand a better chance then next season. 2nd place is not out of the question though, look how close it. Two wins in a row would put you right up there :)

Can't wait for Tuesday in the Bundesliga. Bayern vs. Dortmund! Happy they are playing again!

Just to ensure all are in the loop with how things progress post match 15 :
Championship Finals
Qualifiers : The top 4 sides in League A The top 2 sides in League B
These 6 sides will have their points carried forward from the regular season against the other teams. You should be aware that your balance will be emptied at race 15 in the same way as (SRS style) last season with a double headed round where you will submit for only match 14 and then match 15 emptied out. Teams will then proceed to play all the sides once more that qualified for the Finals, with reverse scheduling from the regular season. So, if you played a team at home in the regular season, you will be away in this one. Worth pointing out that the two League B sides will promote to League A automatically for the following season.
The money you'll start the Finals will be from this sum :
83 * (1.8 - (base multiplier * 5)) + league points + goals scored
League A Finals
Qualifiers : 6th-8th in League A 3rd-5th in League B
These 6 sides will contest ONE League A place. The setup will work in the exact same fashion as the Championship finals. Everyone below the team who finishes top of this mini league will be in League B for the following season.
The sides who finish 5th in League A and 6th-8th in League B will see their season wound down to a halt.
In case you missed the post I made earlier about Performance Related Rewards for next season, I will re-post it :
Performance Related Rewards
0.24 0.21 0.18 0.15 0.12 ==================================================================== Championship winner 0.03 0.04 0.05 0.06 0.07 +50 credits Championship Top 3 0.02 0.03 0.04 0.05 0.06 +40 credits Championship Finalist 0.01 0.02 0.03 0.04 0.05 +30 credits League A 5th place - 0.01 0.02 0.03 0.04 +25 credits League A Finals winner - - 0.01 0.02 0.03 +20 credits League A Finals Top 3 - - - 0.01 0.02 +15 credits League A Finalist - - - - 0.01 +10 credits New player bonus +10cr +20cr +30cr +40cr +50cr
This means that, for example, if Toulouse ended in 5th place, they'd get a boost of 0.04 to their multiplier for the whole of the next season +25 start credits.
Base multipliers will drop a little next season to account for the rewards based system : 0.22, 0.2, 0.175, 0.15, 0.125

Right you are.
Do you think in future I should enforce some kind of automated system when players do not make a submission. Luckily, Rangers have missed every game so it matters little with them that players have a 'free' hit. But in cases like Eintract, it might be better to find some kind of solution (for next season that is, not for now). Expunging results at the end of the regular season against such sides would be one option, but that itself wouldn't resolve any fairness since there would be people who spent more or less against those teams.
The other option would be to have an ongoing automated bid by the assistant manager, which could be something as simple as them making a bid equal to the average spend of the match week (or all-in, if the manager had fewer credits). Players already forfeit 20% of their credits for a missed submission so doing that and maintaining the penalty seems fair. I don't know though tbh, some would say just do as I already do and just make it a luck-in, luck-out scenario, while others would say go for automated solution for a degree of fairness. Though that itself may not be a fair system by doing it in an 'average-of-all spent' manner.

|
I like the idea of using the averages on all of the other spenders.
|
|
|
I think something like that would be better. And for people like Keith who missed a match two rounds ago simply cos he thought he had sent when he hadn't. I think I might do that next season then.

Yes, its good to have some football back. Did you see the cardboard cut outs Werder Bremen did?!
La Liga confirmed as returning on 8th June, btw.

You had to rub it in didn't you lol !!!!
Not keen on the "average solution" TBH as if I had sent, my stake was based on the pretty sure bet that Tom would not post so was low. This way I would have had to try to second guess what everyone was staking.
And damn I cannot get BT Sport....
