let's consider the statistics of three cases
1.how many manager have entered elite/master without being in a team
2.how many managers have entered elite/master with the team started by their own
3.how many managers have entered elite/master with the mid lvl team they joined in their rookie /ama stage of career.
4.how many managers have entered elite/master with top teams after following rigid system of changing teams in a hierarchy order.
if no's are majorly in favor of no 4 which i think it is don't u think something needs a change here...
at least it's worth a shot to brainstormed by big giants instead of being in a safety net - okay that was way too impolite.

I'm not sure that these would be the statistics to look for. We are playing a manager game where data collection is a big part of being able to constantly perform well. If you would want to achieve these kind of results without a team, it would take a lot of time and effort.
When putting this kind of effort into a game you are destined to communicate with other players, maybe even make friends, thus probably look for a team.
I would think, and many more experienced managers confirm that in this thread, that dedication is much more important than being in a high league. It's not more than logical that trying to achieve good results and working your way up through the leagues is part of this dedication.

So as suggested by Niels, in maybe less delicate words, I would advice you to show your dedication to the game by taking part in races a couple seasons in a row. Then finding an appropriate is not gonna be any problem.

It wasn't about proven quality but about small details shown in forum participation, team interview and so. Which turned out fine: Diego managed to do very good until a few seasons ago real life commitments forced him to put the game aside a little bit, Carlos is a hidden gem with remarkable 23rd highest historic team points per race statistic, 13th from currently active managers, and Nev is a multiple time Elite manager and a title contender a few times.


Just a shame Edwin lets you down or else you'd have a great point here ;)

Quite the contrary. 75% delivered, high enough for teams to believe that ugly rookie is the new Roland in the making. 25% did not, high enough for the ugly rookie to have a shot at bullshitting his way in. Beautiful balance if you ask me.

Maybe a team bank can be introduced

Everyrace $100 to be contributed by every manager to the team bank

In this way we can save who is running short of money by giving them loans with a certain amount of interest rates


And if the manager leaves the team 20% of his contribution will be paid back to him/her

Just a thought!
