Superb start by India on Day 1.Although losing Mukund wicket and also allowing England Bowlers to bat for so much time.

How unsporting can this game become. Bell's dismissal is a travesty. The fielder clearly stood back and gave the impression to the middle that the ball hit the boundry. It didn't and with strict interpretation the batsman is out. But what a way to play, can't you guys beat us fair and square

What would have happened if it wasn't before tea, new batsman etc

Its all looking a bit interesting at the moment.
What happened to the dominance of India on the Test scene? They look a shade of their normal selves. England do look pretty impressive though....for a change. ;p

But surely the incident only occured because it was the end of a session? In any other instance Bell would have just wandered around in his crease practising air-cover-drives, etc. . .

bell himself said in post match press conference that if he would have been in dhoni's shoes he wouldn't have called the batsman back to bat....
so we atleast have game spirit left in us.....dont know abt people who call it a gentlemens game....

Hm in their field,they played well.But in other country eg SouthAfrica or in Asia they really showed their own talent :)

whatever,but we should accept england played well and thats it.
If last 4 batman can get more runs than whole of indian team we dont deserve no.1 spot really.

well what i say is that we must not try to point out our negative points,if they are not their others must step out and do the job.

Sehwag the slogger wouldn't be able to smash this english attack you need a solid batter like bell or Bresnan and Khan wouldn't make that much difference.
the fact is this english team is currently the best team in the world

This is depressing.
Hopefully, when Gambhir/Zaheer/Sehwag will return, we will be able to win 1 game and draw the other one and hang on to that no. 1 spot. Drawing this series is beyond us now.

mostly Sehwag, Zaheer and Gambhir will replace Mukund, Sreesanth and Raina for the 3rd TEST.

YES! This is the best thing tha could have happened to Indian cricket team :D There was no way they could have kicked him out regardless of how bad he plays...

Why do Indian Cricket fans [generally] prefer one-day and 20/20 stuff to test cricket? Or is that a myth?

I think the series is surely out for us.But No.1 Spot is still on stake for both teams.I think India will win 1 out of 2 and draw the another if Sehwag and Zaheer perform well.
