Quote ( Harold Tulley @ October 12th 2017,17:05:30 ) Hey! I haven't popped in here yet.
I'm Harold and from England, UK. I don't watch or follow F1 but I thought this game looked interesting.
I was going to return to [Blacklisted], however I wanted a more active game to play and so far, this has been great. I managed 3rd in my first race, but ever so slightly messed up my second race. I ran out off fuel on lap 56 so needed to pit. Took me from 9th to 15th :( finished 14th though.
So hi!
Welcome

Welcome Harold, you will find this game challenging at first, but the real thing you'll find around the forums as well. Wish you the best!

Hallo Harold, Welcome to this interesting and challenging game. A little background from the "real" formula 1 helps me a bit trough the first races, mostly concerning tyres / fuel. But, as Marcelo said, the forums give you a lot of information, take your time to read the newbie guide as well. Enjoy

Hi my name is Jeremy and I'm from Colorado, USA.
Saw an article about GPRO on Autosport and thought that I would give it a try.
A little overwhelmed at first but starting to figure things out.

Hi, I'm Aaron from England, I love formula 1 and I too heard (for the first time) about GPRO on an autosport news article. I was surprised as I thought I'd heard of every F1 game around! I'm hoping to learn enough to enter this fridays race...

Wellcome, join mentor program, it will help you to learn the game a bit faster than on your own ;]

Welcome to both of you! I hope you'll have fun and stick around!

If you've read the game rules and the newbie guide, you're good to go, and even if you didn't, it's worth a shot. You'll be surprised how well you're doing, just don't expect a win in your first season, or you'll be disappointed, a total newcomer to F1 wouldn't beat Ferrari in real life, either.

Looks like a steeep learning curve, went into fridays race, still feeling my way around... Welcome to Gpro Glenn and all others, newly joined. Yes, a very steep learning curve, that continues for a couple of years, even longer. Just, don't give up and collect data,, the info you need is out there. :)
Find a mentor from within in the Mentor program, find a team to join, or both. That is part of the key to get early success in the game.
The sooner you do that, the faster you get going. :)

Hi Shaun and Welcome!
For help, take a look at the mentor program: /gb/forum/ViewTopic.asp?TopicId=20521#scroll
Otherwise, keep the first truth of GPRO in mind: Knowledge is power! Save all the data you can get your hands on!
Specifically for fuel in the beginning: Fill her up first, check mileage later.

Hi everyone,
I'm Jeff and have enjoyed my first half a season - looks a great game.
I have an issue due to the season reset. I was doing the certification test for the first time ever this morning and the rest happened during it.
It now says I have failed the test but I was unable to complete it because of the reset? Is it possible for this to be fixed?
Thanks,
Jeff.

I have just removed your failed test, you can start a new one from the beginning.

Welcom Jeff
Enjoy the game :)

Thanks for fixing it.
And thanks for the welcome :-)

Hi Jeff and welcome
With the certificate test it'd have been more adivsed anyway to do it after the reset, especially if you can still get the money rewards as they would've been reset and you'd have lost it
|
|
|
Ah okay.
When I read the wiki it talked about drivers starting with 31-33 million after the reset because of taking the test which I took to mean you need to do it before the reset.
Thanks.

Hi, Some of you probably remember me from my first time playing, but it's been so long since I played a full season, so I feel like a noob again.
One question - why do some people in my group have 35 million, and others 30 million?
Thanks.

If you complete 17 races in the previous season, you start the next season with a 5M bonus, hence the 35M some managers have.

Hi, my name is Lewis and I just completed 3 seasons and starting to enjoy the game. I am 14 and I have Osteogenesis Imperfecta which means my bones break quite easy. I am starting to get the hang of the game a little thanks to a mentor I had who gave me a few tips. Looking forward to improving. I made 1 mistake when I signed up, I seemed to have got an american flag, when it should be England, but it won't let me rectify it.

Hi my Name is Michael and I'm in rookie 180. Just started the game so I think my main aim is to finish the season not in debt and possibly finishing in the points in at least more races than I don't.

Lewis and Michael, welcome to the game :)

Hello, I'm Michał (or Michael). Friends call me "stonek" ;] I started many rookie seasons, but since I actually have the time to play now, I want to stick here for a little longer this time ;] Good luck!
