Quote ( Stuart Foster @ May 31st 2019,17:04:57 ) You can do that after the League Stage George...i'll be starting that next week (bot v bot games for matchday 1 I'll be getting done on Sunday). Whenever I have the chance. If JB accepts this challenge of course.

I'm trying to see about cutting back on the qualifying round matches a tad. Not that it matters really as long as they're done by the time the A-League Finals matches are done.
But, perhaps 4th place in A-Leagues shouldn't get any chance at all to qualify. And give the play-off spot for D Leagues to make it a better route for them. I'm just looking at the format and its probably a bit of a maze. And quite hard if you're in the lower tiers.

Quote ( Stuart Foster @ May 31st 2019,16:46:57 ) Also, I will allow ALL nations to play ONE friendly (during the whole season) from outside the restrictions. Which means its fine for Malaysia to play Romania.
I play with Malaysia, but do not forget that Lyee has challenged me.

Yes, you choose whether the match is played at home, away or neutral Liviu.

I've updated the Qualifciation path..
This is a bit more simple to follow than the original path...the qualifying route (colour coded) you take dependent on the league and position you end up in the Nations League. C Leagues lost their automatic spot, but meant the play-off round is completed in a single round. Pink and Orange losers get a repechage, as you can see in the diagram.

Faroe Islands challenge India to a friendly match. The manager receiving the invitation must choose whether the match will be played at home, away or a neutral venue.

You guys will be able to see the current condition of your players on the Team tab, just in case you wondered what it was or couldn't remember when you come to your next submission.
That's here > https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1ANQ1pjcGsMDpWVprLzxI...
I am going to add 'best XI' for each team there, which just saves me having to keep doing a lookup on Wikipedia of the players for each nation in question ;) Of course, if you would like to submit a best XI for your country, please feel free to do so (either in the thread or to me by pm). It would save me the trouble if you know better than me your nation's best XI. I'm using a 4-3-3 (or 4-3-2-1) formation as the base for these as that's generally the most common/flexible. The only purpose served is saving me a short-ish amount of time. As you can see, England is filled.
Feel free to arrange your next friendly if you'd like to play one.

The match of Romania with Malaysia will be played at home, as Lyee wanted. I sent the team pm and completed the game form. I'm curious what will ultimately be.

that match was the closest one so far to an automatic penalty goal (for Bulgaria, obviously).
I might lower the limit from 60 to 55. Not sure. Beagles used to have it anything over 50, but I increased it to account for the extra points you can have from running with higher intensities/stronger condition (that and goalkeepers being a factor).
I guess it comes down to the legitimacy of the above tactic, and the likelihood of its occurrence. However, Bulgaria would have more likely won the game if they'd taken a counter risk of running even with 0 on their keeper and/or a higher intensity. So...I dunno :)
edit : I think...for now...I will keep the penalty at the existing 60, cos I don't really want tactical penalties to be happening with a high frequency. So, from now I will show each team's 'strength'. In that case, in the above match, Ivelin might then have felt better compelled to counter his opponent's approach by being more aggressive with his own.
Does that sound fair? Or would you guys prefer the above tactic was penalised instead with a lower penalty threshold? Personally I think it would be better first to give players a little more info so they can see where they might make a half time change to counter an opponent's negativity.

Bosnia v Greece first half coming next. Then Romania v Malaysia.
|
|
|
Think that sounds fair Stu - though the reason I put the rule in place with 50 was to ensure someone getting ahead in the 1st half couldn't just park the bus in the 2nd half and guarantee to keep that lead.
