This will give you all the information. Make sure you keep an eye out on the track info for fuel consumption whether its a medium, low, high, very high or very low circuit and base the calculations from that

Start with the basic help that is written in-game:
"As a base guideline it is unlikely that any standard 300km long race will exceed 280 liters of fuel."
Next race, Mugello, has 304.3km, so if you put 284 liters, you won't ran out of fuel.
After the race, check out your Race Analysis to see how much fuel was left on your car at the end of the race. That will help you calculate more accurately how much fuel you need.
Also look for hints. For example Mugello has a Medium Fuel consumption. Other tracks are High, Very high, Low and Very low. Also think that if some of your car parts are better, you will probably spend less fuel. Also think that a better driver will help to spend less fuel.
Start collecting information from your races and you will be able to figure out how much fuel you use.

Quote ( Paradise Edokpayi @ May 1st 2021,22:24:28 ) How do you figure out how much fuel you use per lap? In order to arrive there, remember to take into consideration that on different tracks the lap length may be different.
Check out this: /ViewTracks.asp?sort=lapd
Shortest lap: 2,3 km Longest lap: 7,281 km
So even when the races were broadly speaking similar length (most are between 300km and 320 km), so the similar total amount could get you "there", still the the fuel use per lap (or how many laps per litres) can vary as some laps can be 2-3 times longer (or shorter) than others
Having that said, in the beginning it can be accurate enough to think in terms of "fuel/race length", but at some point you'll probably want to start thinking in terms of "L/km or km/L"
That way you'll also be able to collect data from one track and use it when planning a race on another track (if you take the similarities/differences of tracks into consideration)

Well tips above are good and from experienced players too, but definitely search the forums...
For fuel there's a table somewhere in old post (yet still valid) that can bring you up to speed. If I still had a link to it I would certainly provide it as it gave me a head start as well quite soon, but I'm sorry..
But while doing so you might find other invaluable tips too!

there is 2 easy solution 1_ find a team to join ( no need for top team ) any team will help with the basics 2 - google
Finally , you logged in 58 time spent :12,5 hours signed 2 drivers avé not done any race yet , how come

This seems really weird. Why would fuel usage not simply be shown from practice? You need to guess from KM on a wiki or previous races? That's not how things work in real life at all...
|
|
|
@Robbo Unknown (R71)
No need to guess. Data must be collected and the formula for fuel consumption can be created based on them.

Quote ( Robbo Unknown @ October 13th 2023,13:18:52 ) You just explained guessing. Instead of using actual data used from the laps you already drove around the track with the car using fuel.
The thing is that everyone has a different set (driver, car), so I can't tell you the fuel consumption of other people.

I agree with you that it's unrealistic that practice laps don't show fuel consumption. After racing on a few tracks though it becomes fairly redundant.
Regardless of what it is/should be, here's how you can make some estimates before your first race: you can get an idea before your first race by doing testing. Make sure to convert the fuel usage to liters/km or km/liter. And either the wiki or Newbie Guide says that you are unlikely to use more than 280 liters of fuel in a 300 km race. I hope this helps.

Use the Google search engine,it is better than asking here because they will never give you useful information.

I don't know why things like fuel consumption are still required to be hidden. The advice that is given is to either use blacklisted sites, get in a team to harvest the information or look in google for other information. Why not give some raw information (not too precise) so that new players can get a decent strategy for their races. I think fuel consumption and tyre wear can certainly be in there.
But as said with pretty raw numbers, something like this lap took me between 2.5 and 3 liters and with these tyres the wear was between 2 and 2.5%. Later on they will find the need to get more exact numbers so that they can research it better. Basic intel shouldn't be foby in my opinion.

No, it isn't. You can estimate fuel for new tracks quite well even if you only have a few races under your belt.

Have you ever looked at a track page? I think each track page already has "raw information". And what about new tracks where no one has info on.
You didn't think that out to much, did ya?

AND: You also get this:
As a base guideline it is unlikely that any standard 300km long race should exceed 280L of fuel. /GPROFAQ.asp#q-how-much-fuel-do-i-need
Combine those two, and remember, you don't need (or even want) to be too accurate in the beginning.
Specially in rookie (and in amateur) you can do quite well with (considerable amounts) extra fuel.
My personal "record" is winning a race with 20 litres in tank at race end, and it wasn't even in rookie/amateur.
"some extra" isn't too bad to have, you'll get it more accurate in the future

Fuel, with some simple analysis is the easiest to get.
In 5-6 races you can get a good comprehension and start making pretty good calculations.
It is so, that I'm aware of managers being able to get precise fuel for Losail, which was a complete new track with no previous data.

Agreed. Also I would add tires.
Sure as a newcomer you wont win races but with that effort you will win points.
I came to this game in the middle of seasion.
9 races - 18 points.
