Couldn't find anything specifically related to this so......
Any mileage in suggesting that in the sponsors details it states what race you began negotiating with them? It could make it easier to gauge whether it's worth continuing negotiations or if you're flogging a dead horse.

Progress graph refers to number of races that you have been negotiating with them. :)

Depends on a number of things Marko, some obvious and some slightly less so. A bit of trial and error and you will find them all :)

See how much progress you get after one race and you'll be able to make a rough guess, but there are factors which cause progress to vary.
Check out the sponsor section of the Wiki.

Factors include; Staff & Facilities Commercial Level, Race Results, & How many Sponsors you are dealing with. These all effect the % increase per Race.
Like Guy said, Trial & Error, & keep Data, so you can learn the Best & Quickest way to Negotiate with Sponsors.
