For fairness to those who played the early games, world rankings will remain unchanged from the most recent that I had updated prior to the hiatus since they will, of course, be important for final tournament seedings.
That said, we start with fresh groups for a Euro 2020 tournament. Qualifying groups split into 7 groups of 8. Australia participating as an invited guest, to make it to 56 teams. This will of course also give fairness also to anyone who joins that didn't participate earlier in the year to start without being 3 or 4 games behind.

The top 3 qualifying from each group. 4th placed sides will have their 6 results tabled from those that finished above them multiplied by two and all those below them by one. The three teams with the most points from that will join the other 21 for a final tournament of 24, just like real life.
Feel free to confirm your participation. Friendlies can be arranged from now until the end of the year. You can arrange two friendlies at a time only, and your second one will only take place once all other (human) managed sides have played one. Nations without a friendly arranged by 22/12 will be automatically paired by a nation from one of the groups that neighbour them.
New players will be able to join from next week, and anyone who has not confirmed their side by the end of next Friday, will be available for any new player to become manager. Manager's of sides outside Europe whose teams who are no longer available, feel free to choose any other available nation before new players join.

While I wait to understand who is interested (will likely give it a week or so), I plan to right a wrong and finish the last season that was left unfinished by me leaving GPRO. I am going to simulate matches using previous form as a guide and then just post the results - just a bit of fun you can look at while we wait for the ##Confirm/##Join to roll in (and it will have no impact of rankings/form of the teams this season)...results will be shown here:
