The "selling" say is actually very confusing, and it leads people to misunderstand this idea to be a profit making suggestion, and further misleaded people into the possibility of possible exploitation of this idea.

What I understand from here is, there is no profit making, no selling. It probably just suggested an option for manager to *trade-in* a worn part for a less-worn part at cost. Knowing that what upgrade/replace/downgrade mechanism that we already have, I guess this suggestion suggests for option of "trade-in" what we currently have into a less-worn part of same level, or 1 level higher but not brand new.

What we are currently having is either we can upgrade/replace a worn part with a brand new part at any level but not 2 level higher than the current level at cost, or to down grade a part to lower level and less worn part for free.
And now, this is a suggestion of just to propose to have the option to "trade-in" for a less-worn part of same level or 1 level higher but not brand new, both at cost, which is an option we currently not having.

This no doubt gives more flexibility to part management, and I do not think it can make the game substantially easier simply by having this option make available. But does this game leaps over onto a new height with this get in place? Not what I believe.

I disagree with you in this, it takes the majority of planning away, and makes things easier for managers to administer and takes away the planning.

So, n my case, I expect one part to reach 102% in the last race,so I have to plan my CTR to finish the last race without smoking by administrating my risks, replace/downgrade that part or smoke some laps that race (economically it is not sound to replace it).

I I could buy a part with some less wear it would definite make my life easier.

for example: sell engine with 70% wear.

I think you need to read again!

Ones need extraordinary courage to re-reading what Yakup wrote :) I would rather read once, and then play with my imagination in figuring out what he actually want to get across :P

I said it is more like a trade-in than anything else (especially not simply selling), because his "selling" in this idea is always follow up with a "buying", which lead me to believe this to be a trade-in plus cost/price. Especially when Yakup insisted that the idea od selling at low and buying at high action is not aim to make profit.

Well, this is only the best I can guess. I can not speak for Yakup for sure :)

In Mexico we have a "verb" (derived from the way a comedian popular in the 1950's and 60's) called "cantinflear" and that Is what I did.

so it whoud read:

it takes the majority of planning away, and makes things easier for managers to administer

Yakup however much you bang on about it , it will never suddenly be a good idea

You have been given multiple reasons why it's a bad idea again and again and again
