After a stunning race at Zandvoort, we take a short trip over to Monza for the Italian GP! At only 13 laps long, this race would pose a different challenge to all the managers and the drivers involved, with a different set of tactics required here in order to be successful.
Manor has managed to lead the Constructor's Championship quite convincingly so far, having broken the 100 points barrier with 6 races yet to go. They will be hoping they can continue this momentum onto the next race, and push on for a very successful season. Meanwhile, Crashtor continues to lead the Driver's Championship, however he has a huge pack of drivers chasing after him. He will have to continue to put in consistent performances if he wants to end the season on top.
It only makes the stage for the Italian GP even more exciting, as we await to see what happens here...
Race 7: Italian GP Track: Autodromo Nazionale Monza Laps: 13 Qualifying Record: Dino Miles - Jordan (0.9s) Track Record: Pierre Gasly - Toro Rosso (7.8s)
Deadline to send me your strategies would be 19:00 CET, Friday 28th May. Should all entries be received before the deadline, I might do the race early. Failure to send would mean a start crash for both your drivers.
@Jonathan Beagles (P20) @George Togas (P13) @Shannon Fuerte (R60) @Geir Pukk (P18) @Kyle Morris (P3) @Claudio Lima @Keith Partridge (A15) @Ethan Littlejohns (P13) @Ricardo Antunes (A28) @Richard Robin Paukson (A57) @Constantin Heller (Ret) @Erik Harken (A7) @Henri Svensson (A23) @Jun Ho (P18) @Mike Chatzikonstantinou (A28) @Bálint Turi-Kováts (R57) @Alihan Zor (A28) @Javier Saez (A51)

I am genuinely considering to just sabotage my second driver
|
|
|
8th out of 18 teams is actually pretty impressive given all your points come from Rosso alone
|
|
|
I just realized I only have 3 points finishes yet have 40 points.
What if I was consistent lmao

Bump! 6/18 sets of strategy received so far. Just a gentle reminder that deadline is tomorrow (well technically today in GPRO time) at 19:00 CET.
Reminders have already been sent out.

Mika Hakkinen scores a stunning victory in Monza, smashing the previous world record by 1.6s! Meanwhile, Haas scores a nice podium, and Constant Hell scores his first points of the season. Unlucky for all the drivers pitting at Lap 8, as they lost 2.2s in traffic from that pit alone and that was sufficient to knock almost all of them out of points contention!

Mika thought he has closed the gap significantly with his win here at Monza, but 11 points by Crashtor means the lead wasn't reduced as much as he would like. Gaps starting to open up in the top of the leaderboard now.

Manor continues their stay at the top of the table following very consistent performances by both their drivers, while Cooper becomes the 2nd team this season to break the 100 points barrier. Further down, it remains extremely tight, with 3rd down to 12th separated by only 20 points.

Hold on tight Jordan we can still have another good one...

Can it be any worse? Thought it would turn around with the improvements of hte car but suddenly we can't make it to the finish line. Ronnie didn't even make ti the starting line.

Bump! Gentle reminder that the deadline for the Russian GP would be tomorrow (technically today) at 19:00 CET.

Disaster for Pacific as both their drivers fail to make it past qualifying. An interesting spread of tyre choices between Options and Softs also means that there is a chance of heavy traffic this race, should they fail to choose the right lap to pit.
|
|
|
I am not really sure if I should be happy about this or not,but signs are not good :(

Some big names are out of the race, as the likes of Sam Bam, Crashtor Maldonado and Mario Rosso all fail to make it beyond the 1st part of the race! Meanwhile, Manolo Santander manages to pit without any other traffic making him have a nice advantage into the final part of the race with many of the harder tyres yet to pit!

Something seems off with Emerson and the rest of the Soft+Soft boys, is that just me?

And Manolo Santander finishes the race in some style! Having encountered virtually no traffic for this entire race, he easily finishes with a brilliant timing, smashing the previous race record by 1.3s! Cue a happy Spaniard as well as a happy HRT team for masterminding such a brilliant victory!
Meanwhile, Arrows pick up a nice haul of 31 points this race, with both their drivers Alan Rees and Tom Pryce finishing 3rd and 4th respectively in what was a nice race for the team. Mika Hakkinen on the other hand picks up a valuable 10 points, given that his other competitors around him fail to score any points this race!
So what does that mean for the leaderboard...?
