Hi Guys
Why should a player who has only raced a few times be higher in the standings than a player who has competed in every race. The other player may have finished in front of him in the races he contested but he did not even start in others, so he should be lower in the dtandings. What do you think. Can this be fixed before the official oopening season starts???

I can understand it if that player has scored some points but if he has'nt the he should be lower.

there are other threads discussing this and Stefan is working on an improved way to resolve this issue rather than using average position

Nigel, it is now the way Steven said because I improved the ranking :) maybe I have to rethink how the standings should be sorted.
But now its simple as it is in F1 - The better places counts. So if someone (like in Master1) just scored a 7th position and then he didnt drive anymore race, he is in front of the one who had 2 times a 8th position and drove all the time...

I prefer the real F1 way. So if somebody did only one race, and finished 9th, he will be ahead somebody who's doing all the races, but managed to get 10th at best. In case somebody did two races, and got one 9th too, and one 10th+ position, he should be IMHO ahead of the manager with single race, but I'm not sure if this follows the F1 rules.

Dunno about FIA, but in GPRO it would be this way at the moment.

It's manager's problem he didn't manage (no pun intended) to get higher position than that dude who drove a single race and was higher. If he's so lame, I don't see why he should be higher just because he is driving every race in the rear end.

And btw, from Regulations of the FIA ( http://www.fia.com/resources/documents/471827260__2008_F1_sp... ):
Dead Heat, 25.) if two or more constructors or drivers finish the season with the same number of points, the higher place in the Championship (in either case) shall be awarded to:
a) the holder of the greatest number of first places, b) if the number of first places is the same, the holder of the greatest number of second places, c) if the number of second places is the same, the holder of the greatest number of third places and so on until a winner emerges. d) if this procedure fails to produce a result, the FIA will nominate the winner according to such criteria as it thinks fit.
I like that precise point d), it will be the same for GPRO :D

I whant to suggest in season standings near race position add in brackets starting position. It would be nice to see all qualifications positions too.
