I don't know why when Vettel tested out the windscreen he said he couldn't see certain things. But i can see very clearly with that indycar one

I think if they could find a way to make the edge of the screen not as obvious, or give it a cover, it would be fine. When you have an edge of glass like that it doesn't look as good.
The only reason we have the Halo is thanks to FIA beauracracy, but of course because the media and the GPDA are fully behind it, anyone who complains just gets shafted aside.

Because the one that Ferrari tested was probably built in Maranello in about a week whereas the people at IndyCar have spent three years working in collaboration with a company that produces canopies for fighter-jets.
Anyway, while the test went overall fairly well, Dixon did complain about ventilation, which is something that needs to be figured out. I wonder whether they could put ventilation slats at it's base where it meets the body.
Anyway, I'm much more excited to watch Indycar than F1 this year, and that's got little to do with head protection.

I think the new car designs ought to have that taken care..

Unfortunately, the rule makers of both series have found themselves in position where they had to introduce something, in case, god forbid, another freaky accident happened, and another driver was killed or seriously injured by a flying object.
Alright F1 has introduced the halo for now, but I'm sure over the next few years it will be developed or replaced by a better device, that windshield could be it.

Tbh, Formula E have made the Halo look awesome to the point where it looks wrong with the Halo. Its just a matter of time before F1 finds a way to instigate it to make it look like its a part of the car and not health and safety gone mad (which the way F1 have put it on, it is)

Halo is ugly... but i think the windscreen would get you into problems when they are in a race with other cars, dirt, tyre and if it is a wet race will become troubles with the windscreen.. well we'll see when they have done a few races.. then we can judge..
