It does surprise that you say Mozart thought the Indianapolis 500 was overrated though, I always had him down as a Penske fan. :P

For power and standard aero kit to do 220mph the lap it is...
For power and free aero to do 245mph the lap it is not...

Sorry Guys iam excited for one, I live an Hour from the Track, and I have been going to that Track since I was 9 years old, first thing its not boring, there is ton of electricity when you walk through those gates and see and hear the Cars going around that track,Also the amount of history for racing as well as Automobiles is awesome. it was built back in the day to first be used as a testing track for Automobile Makers to test their new models. Nascar Tested there way back in the 60's believe it or not.
Anyway looking forward to this Race ,I would like to see this Race be a Permanent Race in the season. and the place is completely not overrated !!!!

Watched F1 for 25 years since 1992, then last year stopped watching it - boring. Don't watch Nascar or Indycar series regularly (only read news about it sometimes). But for the past 5-6 years I always wait for the last Sunday in May for watching Indy500 (full 4 hour broadcast with all interviews, ceremonies, historical flashbacks etc.), and it is one of my favourite sports event ever. It's not just a single race in the Indycar calendar. It is a big show and a huge gift from event organizers for all racing fans from all over the World.

He may have been a Penske fan! In the spirit of Bill & Ted's Most Excellent Adventure I do wonder what it would be like to experience the late 2010s through the eyes of people from 100, 200, 400, 1000, and tens of thousands of years ago. Probably not much, they'd have a heart attack. LOL

I'll try. For racing history you have a point. I am sure I'll enjoy it more in person! Perhaps I'll go some year after I can fit in a visit to Monaco F1. Priorities. :D

I have been fortunate enough to go 6 times in my life so far. Monaco in the morning and the 500 around Noon make it my favorite day/weekend of the year. I look forward to seeing this version of the race in the future!

This Tuesday in Indianapolis, the 10th edition of the Indianapolis 500 presented by the GPRO Global Racing Club.
9 times before the event had been run at 40% distance because the promoters were too cheap. Now for three full edition.

Im really exited for the Indy race, it would have been fun to get titel Indy 500 champion next to your namn IF you won it :)
2018 is a good year for motorsport fans.
If I would rank the series i watch it would be as follow. Just my opinion.
1. IMSA - Brilliant as always
2. Indycar - Fantastic start to the season
3. Formula 1 - Much morse fun this year than i ages
4. Nascar
5. WEC - Toyota fast for it to be exiting

Just have a question, and sorry if that's been asked before or has been explained somewhere, but since the race will take over 2 hours, what's the weather forecast for the 5th half-hour period? Should we just assume that it will be the same as in 4th?
