The Driver Skills Experience, Technical insight and Stamina should improve while doing Testing Rounds! IM(very)HO this would make sense and testing would become a more important factor in this game.

well, 1 wouldnt really make a difference, particulary for 10 test rounds. Doesnt really amount to anything does it?
Make this easier...explain to me what difference you beleive this will make in a positive way to the game.

I thought testing was only for learning the car and perfecting race settings

Well, did you ever use the driver training? Then you would know what sums have to be spend on in-/decreasing skills by a few points (or sometimes even 1). You have to see it over a longer amount of time. Long term planning is a huge factor once you are out of Rookie.

i should increase but not by 1 points. and maybe it is like this but we can't see. if it's not then the admins could implement this but again not by that much (1 point). at least that's my suggestion :)

well, 1 wouldnt really make a difference, particulary for 10 test rounds. LOL .. it would made HUGE difference. Actually I would like to gain something on driver from testing too, but even something as small as +0.2 of stamina per testing session(per race) would make me very happy.
Quote ( Gatis Laugalis @ December 5th 2007,13:41:18 ) Are you sure they do not improve? :) Yes. :D After your last post I will have maybe to check it again, maybe I just didn't notice it. But I'm quite sure all my driver improvements did come from races, training and season end.

I thought testing was only for learning the car and perfecting race settings Don't expect to know everything about this game after few races. ;) Keep watching for new ideas and knowledge even after 100 races, you will still learn new things. :)

Testing in rookie also taught me that i will get hit in the stommach multipule times. My point is, $10,000,000 all up is worth a bit more than 1/250 for some skills. If this was going to work, it should be something more like every 2nd testing session, or more to he point, after doing a certain amount of laps, or stints.
Personally, im still against the idea.

Armin, remember that the point of testing isnt to boost driver stats but to gain CCPs.
It would be logical for driver stats to be changed because of testing but the increments should be very small.
Sorry Armin, but this is a fairly good idea if implemented properly.
You already have a decision to make as to spend money and car part wear on testing, so a little nobus driver training would just be that, a little bonus.

Could the type of testing you did Rafal have an impact?
It does sound very surprising not to get anything at all.

Well I did 50 laps of overtaking and 25 braking and 25 chicanes and not the first time in that configuration thats why I'm a bit confused
|
|
|
Edit: Ignore my old post, I just have noticed the topics date
So, Rafal, try to save your drive profile data from one race to other WITH test and WITHOUT test.
The driver improve will appear just AFTER the race, not immediatly you have completed your test laps.

He's already done that, testing was done before Nurburgring
|
|
|
(a bit late)but I've run this testing session before todays race not after if this is your point Eoin
and according to game rules: 4.2 Testing ...Testing also affects certain driver attributes as well as TD’s attributes and staff....

edit: the fact that you're in Amateur is somewhat curious, but it's still entirely possible. There's always rounding to consider as well.

Get a driver with a longer contract or extend the contract with current one?
