I would be ashamed of myself for claiming a refund from a non-commercial game. It shows disrespect towards the game and the ones who put a lot of effort in developping/maintaining the game.
All the other supporter features were available that race. So if you claim your 0,4€ these others features were provided for free then?
This is IMO and I don't want to take part in this discussion. Just let you know my thoughts.
My 2 cents..

Here is the reply from our ISP:
Hi, As you can see from your screenshot, The packetloss is starting long before the packets reach our network.
But I will monitor 83.168.243.151 for any packetloss from our end.
So it seems the problem is not even with our ISP, but somewhere outside of their network.

Somewhere outside their network, but probably close to them, since many people coming from all parts of the world have problems. Since they came on different routes and many have problems, I think it could be somewhere close to your ISP.

can you explain to simpleton like me if it is good news or bad news? :) Because problems of loading the page seem to me more frequent with time...I cannot rememmber such problems two seasons ago. So to me it is getting worse.

bad I think...what they are saying is that their 'cabling' is all fine, and it must be one of their supply lines that is causing the problem.
Think of it as someone driving to your house but there are roadworks blocking the way. If the roadworks are in your road you can go and meet the person and guide them in to your house anyway, but the roadworks are somewhere else on the route and you cannot so easily meet your friends to guide them home :)

but the roadworks are somewhere else on the route and you cannot so easily meet your friends to guide them home :) if it is permanent roadwork, I would move then to another house I guess.

But you love your home, Tomas.

You've been there before. :)
Next will be 1000th post. :)

You've been there before. :) I was. But I am not paynig for that server surrounded by nasty roadworkers.. It is not my turn to move :D
EDIT: I only support those who pay... :)
|
|
|
That's the real problem, it seems. Not GPRO management and server, not GPRO's ISP, not us. It's the workers... :)

Races should be moved to Sundays then. :)

I tried that when it was the Poll Tax and how that went wrong for me!!
So back on the subject is there a way forward or does the provider simply disown GPRO as it's not the providers problem?
If the provider can't or won't do anything about it I can only see it getting worse.

The admins should at least explain to whoever the relevant isp is that if it happens again they (the ISP) may be liable for roughly 900 euros.

To be fair, the minor connection issues, that have been affecting the site for the past couple of months, seem to have died down. I don't recall getting any minor/short term connection issues for a good few days TBH...probably not since before the last race IIRC.

hmmmm I wonder if the admins have been fed the 'nope nothing wrong our end' line whilst the hosts quickly found & fixed the problem :p

i just hope we can watch the next race unlike the last race which would not screen :)

If that's the case and the problem is solved then relatively speaking it's problem solved but likewise that's no way to do business.

You are a quite reasonable person, Mikko. Intelligent, calm, well considered replies. I don't have your patience, but I admire it :)

OK I am in the mood for handing out thread bans unless both of you grow up pretty quickly.
If I see any more of this petty nonsense from either of you, or from anyone else joining in, I will get to use the new toy that the other mods have already had a play with.
EDIT - Thread cleaned up removing all of the offending rubbish from the last hour

Common... Huge ? It's not like you fought and struggled and had a great and long battle. You just pressed a button and site won't load. :)

Had some problems just now for about 5 minutes.
