Good luck to Basel next match... it would be nice to see MU out of the competition, just because the arrogance they showed towards the rest of the teams in the group...
Well, guess I was right... hehehe
Well done, Basel !

Anyone just seen Rodriguez for Villareal batter Aronico for Napoli? Jumped into the air brad pitt style and launched a punch at Aronico caught him square in the jaw.

Not bitter just sick of the man u fans making fun of other teams with their 19 league title etc... (majority being glory hunters, granted same can be said of cheslea and lately man city)

It comes with the territory mate. Which is obviously why the top leagues are supported more than the lower leagues. Im still enjoying at the City games seeing genuine Manc people in families etc watching the games.

A shit week is just getting better. As dislike Man Utd so much am loving bet on Basel @ 5/1Happy days
You're my hero :)
Stan James were mine as most others only offering 9/2. Even with a long shot bet still gotta go for the value. :)

Ermin, what the other teams don't know is the amount of money United generate via the collective TV deal and essentially share the money with them. We should just switch to Real/Barca style individual TV deal...

I know, and that is why i often have furious debates again glory hunting chelsea fans. AVB being crap because he is incharged of an ageing team. Whist off topic it would have been great to hear from Abramovich in a tv interview backing AVB's attacking philosophy
I wont lie there is a bit of me that is jealous of what man u have achieved but to me their team seems full of arrogant players who just annoy me. Any little push on nani, young evra etc... is met with arm waving and decisions by refs
Maybe thats because of my rose tinted glasses but thats the way i see it.

I know that and its a wonderful arrangement, without it that same side would be nothing. Although united buy young its not necessarily their youth setup that brings talent though. Its the other clubs that benefit from that money

Im a City fan and I actually like the young boys they have. Cleverley, Jones and Smalling esp. I do dislike Nani alot though. Evra and Young quality players also.
But their dominance is defo fading now. Surely cant be too long before Fergi retires. Hes getting on a bit. When he does whoever goes in will have the hardest job in football.

Like John Terry has never hounded a referee like an uncontrolled bafoon...oh wait, he does it every game.
Man Utd just weren't clinical tonight. They deserved to win but they didn't. They'll use the Europa League to give invaluable experience to some of their players and come back stronger...that is just Utd.

This guy is a disgrace to football. He literally makes it a mockery. Quality player and would of been respected if he wasnt a typical cockney "gentleman who plays with himself"

Having learnt it of Roy Keane im not surprised.
We all know chelsea history isnt perfect and there are blemishes on the club, from fans being idiots to players being totally out of order

When he was in his peak before the back injury and subsequent, loss of pace he didnt make a mistake as such. Its only recently that he has turned into a bollocks.
Hopefully not long left in his career and Rio's

John Terry is an average player. He just looked better because of who played alongside him & bailed him out with pace. His bubble burst the minute Carvalho followed Mourinho to Real.

That can be said of any player, after all its a team game ;)

No1 can do what Fergy has done so its a fail whoever takes the job. But you wouldnt reject it if you were offered it would you?

of course not, it's not on the hand that whoever is asked will not be willing to take oven as much as it is on the hand that it should not be disappointing to the fans after a relative and arguable failure this season

After Bassel got a 3-3 draw at Old Trafford, this was never going to be a given win for them. I was shocked to see them go out but they are not the force they were as Michael bluemoon Keeney said . Its good to see the noisy neighbors doing well and looking like champs this season still along way to go but right now they are the team to beat GO Man City
P.S I am a Liverpool fan

Im surprised that nobody mentioned Lyon and the 9 goal swing to go through. Some comeback
Those teams who were knocked out now have a greater chance to win their domestic titles as lets face it its Mourinhos year again

What a rigged game at Dinamo - Lyon ! Disgusting...

Indeed, they were 3 points and 7 goals behind Ajax.
But they were unlucky as their 1-1 was a goal, not offside. Dumb linesman.

Atleast City are coming down with us...
Surprised you would say that...
Already lost the League cup, no chance of winning the league, will get knocked out in 3rd round in FA cup... would have thought you'd have liked to win Europa League. Now with City to knock you out of that too, I don't see any chance of trophies this season :)

Someone tag that post....I figure that it will need to be brought to attention come the end of the season, if not sooner.

I think City going out is not all that unbelieveble because Napoli is easily the 2nd strongest team in that group. While Man U... well that is a bit of a diffrent story. They are on a bad run of form and Jones plays midfield bad. He's very good at tackling and getting then ball, yet he is also good at scoring. So, he's playing a CDM position and likes to go score when Man United need a CDM if a counter is to happen. Then he is just playing catch-up with the counter attack. I think he needs to stick with CDM and go up to score less often.
