Thanks people (even Brad)! :) That was a good run. Sorry to Joel for ruining what would have been an equally satisfying party, but thanks for making it an exciting race.
Quote ( Bert Huylebroeck @ April 28th 2020,21:48:29 ) Your TD propably also will be happy. He is happier than Ahmet's TD after a full season, but, pushing for the win also meant fastest lap and likely a better end-of-season bonus, so his manager is even happier still. :)

Race 14
A completely soaked race weekend in Mexico City had crowds wondering: how well will an Untouchable Pipi perform in the wet? It was Alan Horsley who took a commanding pole position once again, but only a fool would write off Gustavo Bellotto's chances in the race.
And indeed, it only took until Lap 9 before it was Bellotto who led the pack and stormed off into the distance. Are you guys bored yet?

Race 15
A few managers have signed new drivers, apparently not caring about the Pipirelli Championship anymore. As a result, Alan Horsley's streak of pole positions came to an end as Aleksandar Aleksandrov claimed his fourth of the season.
Gustavo Bellotto passed the Bulgarian for the lead in Lap 13. Peter Both briefly got ahead after the first pitstops, but Bellotto quickly rectified that situation and did not look back. Both had reason to celebrate anyway, securing his first podium of the season. Nestor Vicente has now taken 8 points finishes in a row and has quietly moved up to second place in the standings.
Result: 1. G. Bellotto 2. / 3. P. Both 4. A. Aleksandrov 5. N. Vicente 6. / 7. / 8. A. Sonverdi

Quote ( Ahmet Sonverdi @ May 8th 2020,22:19:39 ) Aleksandar & Nestor, bad luck with the drivers going 161 OA. It wasn't bad luck Ahmet, rookie mistake, as the rules don't make it clear I thought I was taking the OA after the reset. My big mistake.

Race 16
Hey look, it's Gustavo Bellotto on pole! That's a rarer sight than you might think - it was his first Pipi Pole since Race 3. But it was Nestor Vicente who launched off the grid like a rocket, leaving everyone else several places behind. It soon became clear that the Argentinian would have to pit three times compared to most others' two stop strategies, and so Bellotto claimed another dominant victory - his second hattrick of the season, in fact.
The battle for second place in the championship remains wide open, with Nechitailo clawing back two points on Vicente.
Result: 1. G. Bellotto 2. D. Nechitailo 3. N. Vicente 4. A. Sonverdi 5. / 6. P. Both 7. / 8. T. Söyrinki
Pole: G. Bellotto (4) FL: G. Bellotto (11)
Standings

Race 17
The final race of the season brings us a new face at the front of the grid: Ahmet Sonverdi takes his maiden Pipi Pole! As for the race, he was clearly only interested in the after-season party, because he quickly started dropping back as Peter Both led the field.
Gustavo Bellotto was on Both's tail throughout the first stint but was unable to find a way past. He found the solution by pitting two laps later and knocking out some quick lap times in true Schumacher fashion. Leading by 5 seconds after the pit stops, he very slowly built up the gap and even a spin in Lap 33 did not cost him the lead.
Peter Both kept the race alive until the end, and the gap across the line was ultimately less than 6 seconds, but Gustavo Bellotto, the champion, finishes the season in style. Dmitry Nechitailo did just about enough to take back second place in the championship.
Result: 1. G. Bellotto 2. / 3. P. Both 4. / 5. / 6. D. Nechitailo 7. T. Söyrinki 8. A. Sonverdi
Pole: A. Sonverdi FL: P. Both
FINAL STANDINGS
1. G. Bellotto . . . . 141 2. D. Nechitailo . . . 56 3. N. Vicente . . . . . 54 4. A. Horsley . . . . . 45 5. A. Sonverdi . . . . 41 6. A. Aleksandrov . 38 7. P. Both . . . . . . . 34 8. T. Söyrinki . . . . . 29 9. S. Shinkevich . . . 2

As a final note, I would like to thank all the Pipirelli managers for your participation (not that I gave you much choice :p). I apologize to anyone who may have gotten annoyed by this nonsense, but it's Flo's fault. And thank you to Kuba Szajbel and Josh Clark for nominating the Pipirelli Championship for the Oscar for Best Silly Game!
