Your wing was re-placed.
Meaning, it had fallen out of place, and was returned to its place.
Makes perfect sense ;)

Quote ( David Andrewartha @ October 7th 2017,16:40:56 ) Simply swapping one word in the race analysis screen is all that's required here to put this to bed, "The rear wing was broken and had to be REPAIRED". But if it was repaired, why wasn't his wear reset to 0? He's totally been scammed by this game! :P

This whole thread validates my opinions of the GPRO community.
This is an oversight in the wording, that a player might find misleading. Anyone who played for a few seasons would have the common sense to know this, but newbies might notice it and find it confusing. So just change the words, it's like... 1 line of code. A quick Find + Replace for Mr Admin.

You seem to overlook the fact that this was not posted in the newbie forum or by a newbie :)
This is someone who has raced 40 seasons and belongs to a family team so more than likely has access to a large amount of data, are you really telling me this is the first time it's come up?
Yes the wording probably could be better but the community you are so quick to berate actually suggested this during the thread , the OP just wanted to complain about a perceived injustice and did not help his cause by filling his OP with falsehoods.
I generally find that when people are dealing with actual newbies they are little more gental and helpful than an experienced player who is whining about something which has always been that way :)

Because it has always been that way does not mean that it is right.

Quote ( Chris Lee @ October 7th 2017,22:03:50 ) Because it has always been that way does not mean that it is right. Yet no one's made such a massive fuss over it in 61 seasons & 12 years, until now. Good job, maybe someone will feel sorry enough for you to send you a lifetime supply of Kleenex tissues.

Which is why a change of wording was suggested, to clarify the obviously intended meaning.

This got 38 replies!? WOW. Because 1 word was misspelled. What a waste of time.

Chris....
Go pour a beer and let it go.

We've always replaced the broken rear wings with new ones with the same wear and level as the broken ones. And we always did that for free. But anyway since this caused so much confusion I've fixed the wording now so there will be no more free wing replacements :)

Quote ( Josh Clark @ October 7th 2017,16:30:28 ) Imagine the performance damage as the DRS flap got stuck open,
Actually happened to Hulkenberg today. Without so much fuss...

Quote ( Chris Lee @ October 7th 2017,10:08:41 ) The FIA would not accept it. Why should we accept it?
This is not Formula 1 and not the FIA.
Newsflash
Chris Lee, on the 7th of October was deeply frustrated. It was very understandable, considering his previous evening. He didn't get laid on the 6th and needed a venting. It's okay, mate.. we all have to rage once in a while. :)
