Hi Guys!
Congratulations for this great game!
My name is Claudio, from Venice, Italy!
I'm totally blind and this is the most accessible online f1 game I've ever played in.
Just a suggestion for you guys so that the game could be more accessible for us:
When someone views the circuit information there are some charatteristics that are not "visible" for a screen reader like that I use for listening what's in a web page, for example.
Now I read there are three parameters that determine the tipe of track we have to race such as Acceleration but it is impossible to understand wich of the charatteristics are of major importance in the track.
Is there the possibility to make this parameter accessible, adding some description for the graphics?
It could be a great feature that could make the game more accessible and could encourage many blind people to join this great game.

A fellow visually impaired mananger, Hadi Rezaei, made some good suggestions to improve accessibility a while back too, see this thread: /gb/forum/ViewTopic.asp?TopicId=27364
Not sure what (if any) had been implemented from those suggestions though.
Edit: Jasper was faster :D

+1! Power Handling and Acceleration values are "hidden" in the tool tip of the image. Makes copy/paste to my sheet extra work as well

The tyre supplier stats are accessible to screen readers because they are listed numerically in a SPAN element with class="skillvalue". This makes the number hidden, but a screen reader picks it up.
Sponsor stats and PHA stats, as well as the other things listed in Hadi's topic, should just have this simple addition and it will be fixed.

I guess the problem is that it's not one image, each bar is an individual image.
Assuming that screen readers will target the alt attribute of an image, adding that to all those little bar images may be a bit much. That'd mean screen readers will say that Bremgarten has 26 on handling 26 times :)
The surrounding table cell does have a title attribute though, which should also be targeted by screen readers i think, but i must admit that i'm not very familiar with the matter

Hi Claudio. My name is Alessio, i'm from Roma. I'm glad this great game is accessible also to blind people, and i really hope the admins will follow all your suggestions on how to make it better for people with such disability.
From my side i would like to help you figuring out the game and also driving you around it when you need it.

@Miel: as far as I'm aware (from speaking to Hadi), screen readers don't pick up title attributes, because it would have to read two things (the cell contents and its title). It does pick up alt text for images because obviously it can't read the content of the image.
So indeed either they should add the number as alt text to one of the images, or put the number on the page and hide it to regular users using CSS, as it's done on the tyre suppliers page.

I've added the text to the track PHA values and the sponsor attributes. Please confirm if they are readable.
And I am no expert at all at website accessibility, so the good accessibility of the game must have happened by chance :)

Cool. :) Please check the old topic as well, especially the end of that topic. In race analysis, visually impaired users can't see boost laps or laps with worn tyres because they are only shown using font color.
Edit: but you may upset people with parsers if you tinker with this too much... So be careful! :D

Hi guys! Thank you very much for the changes you made to the circuit page; it now is perfectly readable with the datas perfectly understandable, thank you again! I've tested last night with my Android phone and now I'm viewing it in my pc. Whow!!! Fantastic job. Now Ill introduce this game to a comunity of blind gamers around the world. I hope to see other blind people playing this great game and joining this comunity. By the way, have a good race today, guys! Bye for now!
