Normally I'm a Red Wings fan, but since they're not an option this season, I go with canucks - and that's only because they have the first danish player ever to reach the final.

Up 2-zip on the Bruins. Now Boston has to win 4 of the next 5 games to win the cup. Don't think they're gonna do it.

Go Canucks!

Nah you're not the only brit, and I'm also a Penguins fan.

Bruins I think have been the slightly better team in both games so far but the difference has definately been Luongo and the Bruins lack of screening and getting rebounds.

Did you watch game 2? Vancouver dominated the 1st and 3rd. They outshot the Bruins like 11-3 in the 3rd.

Did you? 1st period was pretty level actually, no idea where you get Vancouver dominated from unless you're just going from the fact they scored, Boston were better in 2nd period, Canucks better in 3rd.

The Canucks set the pace of the entire game and the Bruins just played with them. The Bruins had SO many turnovers in their own zone it wasn't even funny. I'm a Bruins fan and I honestly think that they got lucky that it wasn't a worse score.

Canucks sweep? I hope not, it would be nice for them to put it away at home!

Unbelievable result, would never have thought that the Canucks would lose 8-1, makes for a much better series & would be nice to see the Bruins tie the series on Wednesday. Hopefully Horton is ok as well.

Unfortunately, I have no respect whatsoever for anyone who even thinks about supporting the Canucks after that Rome hit. Completely and utterly disgusting.

The first rule of hockey is, Keep your head up. I personally am tired of all the crying about and by players that are not paying attention and then pay the price.

It was a late hit, granted, but welcome to a contact sport. Concussions are a big problem in hockey all of a sudden... there is a reason that 20 years ago they didn't wear helmets and didn't have this problem on this level.

Edit: It is also interesting that your loop starts immediately after he passed the puck so as to make it look worse then it was... are you in politics?

I didn't make the loop... And Rome was aiming for Horton's head the whole time. Horton had his head up but just didn't see him in time to move out of the way.

No matter what you think, Rome will, and should, get a suspension for 5+ games.

E: Stop trying to justify why your worst defenseman, who hurts your team more than he helps it, hit our best goal scorer during the playoffs with a dirty hit.

So we should cheer for this guy? He actually does try and hit someones head... or if that doesn't work drive him into the stanchion?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u4_johidZhU&feature=playe...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jxlcJri1yCc&feature=playe...

Its a contact sport and these things happen and I am sure you will believe both of Chara's hits were just mistakes and Rome's was intentional and aimed at injuring. However Rome, like Chara, is not considered a dirty player.

Also when I said he had his head down I didn't mean he was looking between his legs... it means he was watching his pass instead of watching where he was going and who he might run into.

Gavin, out of interest do you believe the hit was accidental or it was intent to injure?

You're right about a player should have his head up watching where he is going, but Rome clearly stepped in to him and lifted his shoulder in to his head so even if he had his head up he might not have been able to get out the way in time, it was a late and intentional hit and hopefully he gets suspended for it, has there actually been any more news on Horton, had a look around today but not been able to find any news.

Do have to question the Canucks coach leaving in Luongo as long as he did as well, way to dent the guys confidence before game 4 when he is the reason there in the final.
