I have to change the pilot, and my opinion is that it doesn't help, but I don't know 100%... what do you think?

Drivers with a higher reputation will cost more than others, so be ready to open up those pockets if you are interested. While they will accept contracts at a standard price, you can expect to be paying them a lot if you want to renew/extend their contracts.

For a short-term 1-2 season driver it's of zero importance. For a little longer it can definitely hurt and for a long term driver it's on the verge of being suicidal ;)

So, being new to the game, I have no knowledge, just conjecture...
But could a high reputation help with Sponsorships in the higher levels of the games maybe?
I mean, sponsors do ask about your driver's popularity.

They said not, but maybe there are more people that they can help us, to know it.

But, I will add this;
Up to a certain point, Rep is of absolutely no importance, & can quickly go down after a promo run to a higher level.
So nothing too much to worry about.
However,
If, it does reach a certain level (sorry I can't disclose that), you will certainly see a difference, with higher salary demands upon, driver extensions.
Hopefully this helps clarify your doubts, with the answers above.
Remember most guys who respond, do try to help, not give you BS answers.
Something to keep in mind for the future, when asking for advice.
