What would be funny if the admins changed the equations making all our tools useless. It would destroy the people who rely on them that have not got a single brain cell to work things out for themselves

Right, because having an excel tool automatically calculate what 1+1=2 for me means I don't know that 1+1=2?

Get of your high horse. Foby knowledge itself is something that has been shared between teams either by spying or by members going between teams and sharing data. It is unlikely any one team completely developed what they know from scratch.

So before you criticize others for using tools and not having brain cells, just think how much of what you "know" was actualy you that figured it out.

Core thing is I respect and like a lot of the people on Tiger. Although I have shown VERY poor judgement by even starting this up, tossing 5 ex team members under the bus is, long term, worse. And...when I speak I do speak as the Renegade leader. I will not follow Laila/Dundee's example on that front.

Mike, there are strong personalities on both sides here. That's just life. Laila is happy to wipe your name off the team page. I agree that maybe it wasn't something that was best done in public but we'll all just move on and get over it.

I'm sure the community at large will thank you for a little post season spice though :D

Becnel act as small kid when mummy is not buying so wanted doll.

He proves it 2nd time already. So...

I will delete his name from the page (because I agree it shouldn't be here) but only after he is finally acting as a man and after A is also saying B not only blabbering bullshit.

It means when he will post his 12 points of our destruction in open forum as he promised.

After he prof that is able to perform this:

Quote ( Mike Becnel @ August 24th 2011,20:16:15 )

Edit my name off your team page or your right to Privacy ends.

then his name will be deleted. If someone promised to brak me nose if I don't do something then i will do it only after nose is broken.

Please someone post it from my name in known thread i have no access to.

Hi Jimmy :)

I'm not a puppet, dear friend... And less than it i'm a crybaby who write words about people who can't reply on this topic(Laila can't post here)

About Becnel, i don't know him well, but for me, is "something" between a Crybaby and a Boring Guy... Acting like a loser.

Well if she can't post she can PM him. Do you actually think that all this crap is what others need to know?

People get into team, people leave a team so what if they have problems which each other let them solve it themselves instead of going public and use others afterwards to post stuff or in Mike's case start to apologize.

Sounds like you are the stupid one. Just because some teams have great tools (like us), it doesn't mean we stop adapting them or making new things. If they changed the formulas, there would be no point in continuing to play, everyone's hard work from different teams would have been a waste. People work on these things to make them perfect, and it takes seasons to get it right.

Tools are very good things to have and are fancy but if you dont know how the tools do what they do then your just cheating yourself ;)

I would hate to play this game if everything was put on a plate for me, ive been lucky enough to be in two great teams that have helped me find out alot of the formulas etc.

But im still to this day shocked at how some ppl in pro and above still cant work out fuel, tyres and setup correctly. These should be the essentials surely?

It always amuses me when the subject of tools comes up. Sure, they're nice to have and probably fun to build if you have an inquisitive mind, but this game is about managing finances, not about solving the algorithm.

I dont mind ppl using other ppls tools as long as they can put there hands up and say its not there tool etc. But what I resent is such ppl not knowing how the tools work and what such formulas are. So they have moderate success and achieve maybe Pro status but really there borderline Rookie/Amateur managers

Well said, Id add to this that its not just the financial aspect but the whole package. Planning is key. To be a success Master + you need a solid 3-4 season plan. This includes everything staff, driver and finances etc.

Its all good and well having an amazing driver but if you train him to a point where you lose him because you have neglected in other areas then this is just bad management.

EDIT: Double post in haste

Edit: This has also gone way off point. So I suggest we post in Tools topic or get back onto teams.

Great season by Apples and well done to Ignition on getting cup and 2nd place. Losing two members during off aseason I wonder who they will replace them with

IF they are in excel, then people do know the formulas. Well, if you look at them. I don't, because quite simply I don't need to know them, so why would I learn them?

Which reinforces Alan and Keano's points that you can have all the fancy tools under the sun, it won't guarantee success.

You can provided 10 team members with identical 'tools' and get 10 different outcomes because the chances are they will implement their knowledge and tools in different ways.

Other people in the team do. People who are not appalling at maths and have no idea how to work any of it out.

But again, if you have a working tool that you don't want to adapt, then you don't need to know the formulas.
