Add test track to driver's favorite at end of the season, if driver has done 500+ (or any reasonable threshold) laps of testing. I assume by running so much laps, Driver should be well aware of all in and outs. There can be limit to number of driver favorite tracks to 2 or 3 and if new track is added, any one of the existing favorite can be removed.
Nice but not with add/Remove favorite as you could be switching tracks to your advantage within and between seasons. Once he reaches 3-4 FTs, it's done.
A new driver attribute: Driver Max FT's: 1-2-3-4. And you build him up. A driver could have a max number of FTs possible to achieve. Some will have one, others 2, others 4. Some FT's could be already attributed by default, or from previous managers, and empty slots that managers can fill through the process of testing or whatever works best.
Personally I would like to have on each RNG new driver, to have 3 hidden (inactive) favorite tracks.
Hence you have no idea, which tracks this driver likes. All you can see on him is 0 fav tracks.
If you get lucky and qualify well on one of these hidden tracks, they "unlock" after quali and show up for the race, as a nice surprise. :) Now, this might not fully benefit the "holding" manager at the time, unless its a long term project driver, but any future "holding" managers can.
There could even be a timer on it, if not unlocked within a certain amount of races, it auto-shows one at a time or something like that..

F1 drivers probably know every turn of every track, but it doesn't mean they like each track. A track can be your favourite if it matches your driving style/preferences.
Oh yeah, that makes even more sense. More aggressive drivers prefer tracks with easy overtaking, drivers with less concentration would prefer longer straights, etc. Good idea.
Can we have a link added to track records in your profile so that when you click it, it shows you which track you have the quali / race track record please? (Both for wet and dry)
I have a suggestion to make the game a tiny bit more "personal", but I understand some people will dislike it straight away. How about a personal anthem?
I can see two problems right away with this, being copyrights and disk storage if people were to upload their own anthems. This can be mitigated by making this feature work with youtube - a manager will simply have to paste a link to YT video in their profile, and it would play after they win. Youtube will then handle both storage and copyright issues. People could abuse this idea, and post stupid things, or very loud screams to scare people watching races, or some NSFW stuff which somehow is up on youtube, but that can be helped with some rules and moderation, just like profile pictures are handled, I haven't seen anybody with a fake profile picture or with something other than their face. Those are the only "technical" issues I can think of, but I understand some people might really like hearing real national anthems and something like a custom song could destroy the "real" feel of the game or something. Maybe then this could be added as a team anthem, that is played after the national anthem of the manager? (F1 plays anthems for both team and driver, and yes I know GPRO isn't F1)

Aye, this is the place to say this is a one off occurrence and it won't be happening again (well not unless you offer me a truck of milk in return :P).

I don't think YT will handle the copyright then. It would be a similar situation to Groovy (a Discord music bot) imo. But I'm not an expert on copyright law, so I could be wrong.

An easier way to handle it would be to give people a choice to "Disable personal anthems" or to "Disable other people's personal anthems" if they want to hear their own song but not other people's.

The problem with moderation is that you will need someone who's willing to do it.
One thing I always find myself doing, which I'm interested to see if others also experience, is flipping back from the race screen to the Race Setup screen as I can't remember what strategy I've used or e.g. which laps I decided to boost on.
That also requires going via the Home Page to the Race Setup page (or typing out/bookmarking the URL, but who has time for that :P).
As such, suggestions in 2 parts:
1 - Add the race setup information as an option on the right-hand side (I use the new race screen - but I'm sure you could add a box near the bottom of the right-hand side on the classic screen if that needed to be updated too). i.e. you click on the icon and voila there is your race setup shown to you.
If that's too tricky then...
2 - Add a link to the Race Setup screen on the Race Screen itself - making it 1 click easier to see that information!
I'll now wait for the 28 posts telling me why this is a bad idea :P

Yes, it is something that I also need to do sometime. But the easiest solution I adopt is to open Gpro in a new tab in the browser, and in one tab I see the race and in the other the setup, or sometimes other things like the standings that also interest me. That said, your idea is not bad.
Yep I do the same - but as someone who regularly has 10+ tabs open with all the games etc. I run, opening another tab is a bit of a pain. Not going to change the world this idea btw, but would save me and anyone else doing it e.g. a couple of seconds per race...and that adds up over the years! :)
Drag the tab out of the browser, press [[windows key + left or right arrow]], then the two will split equally on your screen. Highly recommend grabbing a cheap monitor to plug in as a dual screen set up (you can do it with your laptop too) for easier ability to multi-task.
Yeah I know there are ways around this - but it would be nice not to have to have a way around it, when a quick hyperlink added to the screen would give me (and everyone else) the same possibility.

It sounds like a nice little additional feature for that bit of ease navigating through the site. Every bit counts... :) +1 for JB!

I actually find editing the URL quite fast, as you literally just have to remove everything after /race and just type 'set' and press enter as it just autofills racesetup.asp ;)
But yeah I do this all the time, so an ability to view your strategy in the race viewer would be quite nice. +1

I just use a piece of paper as a worksheet for setups and just keep it.

Drag the tab out of the browser, press [[windows key + left or right arrow]],
Or simply right-click the "view race" button and select "open in new window". from there it's easy to split the screen as one likes... the windows can even overlap partially IF one likes (I do like) :)
Browsers (and other software) have quite a few features in the right-click context menu, sadly they are often underused
One aesthetic I think could be added is being able to change the name of the drivers. I guess it would be fun to be able to select that, like using my own name or maybe my favourite driver (a variation of it of course, or else it would lead to too many drivers having the same name :P)
Since it's not really necessary, the feature might be available for a fixed number of credits like the "undo parts" option on the update car page, to be feasible.
