Welcome to the Forum Games Golf PGA .
For those unfamiliar with the rules of this competition, they are contained below.
RULES You will compete in 4 rounds of golf (or rather your lap times from 4 designated races) Each round of golf is made up of 18 holes. Each of these holes is linked to a lap in a GPRO race.
Depending on your lap time for that lap you can score and eagle, birdie, par, bogey or double-bogey. To count for the tournament you simply need to send VIA PM ONLY your lap times to me for the holes stated on the scorecard, along with your fastest lap of the race (and which lap it occurred on) Dry & Wet.
As the 2nd, 3rd and 4th rounds are part of the competition, if you miss the 1st round - you will not be able to compete in the rest of the rounds, so you MUST send me your times for Round 1.

After each of the 4 races concerned you will be required to send your results ( via PM only ). The deadline for sending results will be before qualifying closes for the following race.

An example is as follows and should be posted EXACTLY as this to enable me to copy and paste into my spread sheet to save me MASSES of time Failure to do so MAY invalidate your round so please be warned as I may not have time to change your entry to get it right
Do all the dashes and colons/dots for times exactly this way please otherwise it will not work on my spreadsheet and it will save me LOADS of time I will try to put a template on each reminder I send Copy and paste just adding your times
Please use this template and just add your times for each race
Any uncompleted laps will result in a double-bogey (+2). A start crash will result in a round of 36 over par, however you should still post this as a failure to do so will result in disqualification from the tournament
Dry/Wet Races In the event of changeable weather, you will also need to submit your fastest wet lap as well as the Dry lap. I DO NOT NEED the lap number
Scoring
Your score will be based on how each lap compares to your fastest lap. For each round a matrix of 'pins' will be posted. These are the time limits that define your score on each hole.
Example
In this case, for a par 5 hole your lap time would have to be within 0.35 seconds of your fastest lap to score an eagle, within 1.3 seconds to score a birdie, and so on. If your lap time is more than the bogey time, then you score double-bogey for that hole.
When we get near to the start i.e. Race 14, I will post all of the exact details for all 4 races so you can decide on your strategy so watch this space
URM is almost like GPRO, you need to pick the tyre and fuel strategy. Only difference is that there are no different drivers or cars and no randomness, so it's all about your strategy. Also, there is no overtaking on most tracks, so prepare to get blocked.
Rules
URM season 17 race engine will be used for this FGC race. You can read more about how races work and maybe lurk a bit about what kind of strategies may work from /gb/forum/ViewTopic.asp?TopicId=29723#scroll but here it is shortly for those who haven't played.
- Fuel consumption is roughly what a good leveled car with good driver would use in GPRO - Along with the 4 compounds of GPRO there are hyper softs, which are softest and fastest of all - Free tyre choice throughout the race (meaning if you start on Hard tyres you can switch to Mediums after the pitstop etc.) - Tyres get slower throughout their lifetime, and this process gets faster when go bad - Pit stops take 0.12s for each litre specified to be filled to (regardless of what is in the tank) + the pitlane time from the GPRO - 1 Q lap with Q tyres (which must be your race starting dry compound, inters or rains) and starting fuel will decide the starting grid - As the race will be dry, you will start with some tyre wear on, cause everyone starts on the tyres they have chosen for their qualifying lap - Overtaking works only in very easy and easy tracks, or when you have weatherwise different tyres (dry/inter/rain) - There are also boosts like in normal GPRO, they work in the same way, and can help you overtake someone you are blocked by. - Strategies are sent by PM to me, example of it:
Qualifying: Soft, 60 litres
Pit 1: Medium, 80 litres Pit 2: Hard, 100 litres
Boost: 1, 4, 7

Have in mind that the rules changed (along with tyre performance), so I recommend checking only races from Season 11 to Season 16 (or if they appear in time - also S17) as everything was basically the same as it will be this race.
Welcome to the Forum Games Championship edition of GPROVision!
In this edition, only the 10 finalists will be eligible to send their songs, but everyone will be eligible to vote on the songs! There will be three rounds, and each competitor will send two songs for each round.
The above format means there are 20 songs each round, so the finalists will then vote as usual by submitting their top 10 songs and awarding them 12-10-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 points. The spectators can vote their top 6 songs, awarding them 7-5-4-3-2-1 points. Spectators join automatically by simply sending their votes, but can also join at any moment via PM /gb/NewMail.asp?IDM=153941&txtSubject=FGC%20GPROVision%2... to sign up for the reminders list.
The final results will be decided by the sum of standing points of all 6 songs a player has submitted.

GPROvision is a simple and great game for any GPRO manager who likes music. It is loosely based on Eurovision Song Contest: first the players submit songs (= their YouTube links) and then all the players will vote for which is the best song of the lot in their opinion. All credit for the game to Koen and Gunter :)
General rules:
Each of the five rounds will have some specific restrictions too, but here are some general restrictions for ALL rounds:
1) The song you submit must have not appeared on previous GPROvision editions, which can all be found in the link below https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1P1Pd39ylKWxDrHExAnm8... 2) It must be a "proper" song, not eg. a home video of some random guy playing a trumpet (aka the Daniel Bassett reference :) ) 3) Two songs per player /round 4) First-come, first-served - basis 5) And please please PLEASE do not reveal which song belongs to you, we want to keep it as anonymous as possible before the results come!
Voting:
Voting is done by PM'ing me when we get to the voting stage (= next week). Every round you need to vote for 10 songs and give them round points in order of 12-10-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1. You cannot vote on your own song. If you don't vote, your songs will get subtracted 18 round points! Also, please do not reveal who you voted for.
Scoring:
To avoid confusion: ROUND points = all the points you score from other players voting your song STANDING points = points that you score by finishing in top 14 of a round, final standings are calculated based on these points
In some of the previous multiple rounds editions scoring has been just the sum of all gathered ROUND points - but for this edition uses a different scoring method. The top 14 of each round will score STANDING points going from highest to lowest: 20-16-14-12-10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1. All ties, either inside round points, or in the final standing points, will be broken by the higher number of 12-pt votes received, then 10-pt votes, etc etc.

INTRODUCTION

HOW TO PLAY
• In this competition in the game of Fives, all teams have a Team Rating of 15. • Each game, all of the Team Rating points are split up between five rounds of the game (and sent via PM). • The higher number in each round wins that round (ties ignored). • Whichever team wins more rounds in the game wins (the Match can also end in a tie).
• This competition consists of one Match against every other team. • That is nine Rounds, condensed into four Submissions over the course of March. • Deadlines are Tuesdays and Fridays 22:00 GPRO Time.
• A win against another team is worth 3 points, both tied sides earn one point each. • If someone forgets to submit, they will automatically lose 3-0. • Overspending will result in losing value starting from the right until the correct number is reached. • Teams are ranked by how many points they scored over the course of the competition. • In case of a tie, better goal difference wins, then more goals scored. • If there is still a tie then a Playoff will be played, details announced if we get there.

It's nothing to do with results. Jon knows who the 10th is, but they haven't confirmed their participation in the FGC yet, so he is giving that person until tomorrow to accept. Then the person in 11th takes the spot :)
Welcome to the Special Forum Games Edition of Month of Football
In the standard game you are required to predict the results of a full month of soccer matches - however as the first game had already started by the time the final person had confirmed and to give you more time to make your selections, we will start from the match on the 4th of the month
2. How to play?
a) All you need to do is send the outcome of the matches. Home, Away or Draw (or H A d or 1 2 X) b) You should send in your predictions in PM and you can send more than one match at the same time, you can send even the whole month's predictions in the same PM. Whatever you want..... c) For all predictions you can change any predictions up to kick off time. If you post after the match has started, your prediction becomes invalid. d) Tom settle any ties, you should send a Tie Breaker. The Tie Breaker will be the total amount of goals scored in the games selected. In the event of any matches being declared void for any reason, the Tie Breaker will be adjusted pro rata to the amount of voided games.
3. The Matches
a) The deadline is the start of the match. Check the Calendar's time column for this data. b) If a team wins the match in extra time or via penalties, the correct prediction is a Draw, because only the first 90 minutes are counted. c) The match has to be finished, meaning no one would get points if a match was abandoned between the start and the finish of the match. d) There are occasional matches per month which don't start on time. A Special Rule 4 deals with these e) In case of any dispute, int.soccerway.com is the official guide.
4. Special Rules
I) Delayed Matches a) If a match starts a couple of hours before or after the announced time, nothing serious happens. Players have time to predict until the starting whistle. c) If a match starts days before the announced time, it's the host's discretion to decide to either send out another round of reminders ,switching the game for another one or declaring the match void. d) If a match starts days after the announced time, the reminders will be delayed as well. The match is valid only if it starts before the end of the month. Exception: the last seven matches has to be finished before the 6th day of the next month.
II) Forgetting to Predict a) If a players misses a match, their previous day's prediction is copied over to the next day . b) Each player can be "saved" this way up to three times in a month but cannot be saved twice or more in a row.
Just a heads up that the Month of Football game 1st fixture is on March 4th (and then every day thereafter), so you should try and get your predictions in to Keith before then to have the best chance possible.

At least with mine, you don't have to do anything extra other than race. All you have to do is send in times - pretty simple and not too much work - I do all the rest
Motorsports Prediction – NASCAR One Big Season Month (NASCAR OBM)
How do I play? Each week, you have to choose two NASCAR Cup Series drivers for that weekend's race, with the deadline being the scheduled start time for the race. After the race is over, you will receive your chosen drivers' finishing positions (at the end of the race) minus the number of intermediate stages they won as your score for that week. These scores will continue to be summed throughout the month, and the player with the lowest score at the end will win the competition!
Here's the catch though: You can only choose a driver once throughout the entire month... so choose wisely!

Technicalities No entries will be accepted after the green flag waves to start the race. The deadline listed will be the listed race start time. If you submit after the deadline, but before the green flag, I will accept it provided I am able to be verify it was before the green flag.
Ties will be broken by the following - less races missed, greater number of races scoring -1, scoring 0, scoring 1, etc....
You will receive a penalty of the lowest finishing position plus an additional penalty point if: 1.) You miss a race. 2.) If you pick a driver you've previously chosen. 3.) If a chosen driver does not qualify or otherwise participate in the race.
