As Thijs said in PM : " GPS registration is a biiiitch there! the map does not match the street view whatsoever "
But both, George and Thijs, found the exact location.

Only Thijs? I thought it was easy and there would be more exact locations here. Surprised I don't see Ania finding it.

LOCATION 2: 14.7754165,-17.4083004

Ania only guessed for Location 2!, Maybe she relaxed a little bit due to her advantage ;) will be enough to win the game ?

How do you find the exact location, George?
I followed that damn car for 800 km! All the way from Lagos to Kaduna, but lost it there. On the other hand, I suspected Kano for the posters, but I couldn't find the car nor the spot there. I was looking for the specific shape of roads (crossing over a highway) and the spot doesn't even have it on google maps.

Ania, I think the policeman was the clue !
Btw, Congrats , you are the Season 2 winner ! :)

And Ranking for distance :
Very congrats, George !

Really good job George, well deserved!
How did people work out it was Kano btw? I think Nigeria was kinda the option most of us had in mind, but what clue did you guys use to work out the city?

The petrol station is a Kano regional company, that really fixed my focus.
Initially, the first hint were the posters, they led me to Nigeria

It wasn't only me this time. Katerina helped me a little bit. I gave her the country and she sent me to Kano. The exact location was mine. Not hard after being in the right city. She used Google lens of course.

Lol I didn't even recognize that there was a policeman! But no image recognition tool was used this round due to simple lack of time, and presence of clues that I could look up without Lens

Crap so close 2 times! If only I had some more time to scroll through the cities...
I Found Nigeria because of the Barka posters which apparrently are in a language spoken in Northern Nigeria and Niger. Kano was the biggest city and also had loads of those tuktuk-like cars which you see in the background. Other cities in Nigeria seemed to have less of them.
Congratz @Ania Piekarska (P8) and @George Togas (M4) and thanks for organizing @Xavier Porta (P9)!

Thanks for hosting a nice season!
I think the difficulty was very good - automated tools didn't really help a lot here to get clues that you couldn't have picked up on sight.
Points wise, I like the idea of distance and points ranking, but I'm not too keen on linking those to seperate images. I don't see how it is an improvement to gameplay to be able to not submit a picture in order to get a higher ranking.
2 pictures - I like. It's nice to be able to switch pictures when you're stuck on one, and it adds depth to the game.
I also want to take this opportunity to ask @Levente Szücs (A5) to tag me when the next season gets started up please! I don't do a lot on the forums and could easily miss it.
