A tip Wouter, rather than refresh the page with active data in it I open the homepage in a different tab (right-click the 'Back to office' link at bottom of page and refresh that one, this keeps your data without danger of resubmitting it.
I often do similar if it takes me a while to write a message, I will refresh the game in another tab before I submit as it is very frustrating to lose a long text because you were logged out ;)

It is normal, when you do a practise or testing lap, the site use a post command.
Then if you hit F5, you send twice this put request, reflected by another lap.
Nerver hit F5 on some pages!

But normally when you do that, your browser asks you to confirm whether or not you want to resend the post data. For some reason, on GPRO it doesn't do that.

It may happen.. F5 is stupid action when you post forms, but at times it may happen by mistake even if you are an IT guy :P
I think the game could prevent these manager errors, it can be easily fixed if you post also the number of driven practice laps and use them to determine if it's a duplicate request or not. Example:
- you drive 3 laps, push the drive lap button --> the drivenLaps variable will be posted with 3 as value
- the game checks if the number of driven laps is actually 3, if yes it considers the request valid
- if you refresh the page, the drivenLaps variable would still have 3 as value but the game detects you've driven one more lap already -> request is not valid and lap won't be driven
Quick and easy :)

Yes Andrea, it's a way to work.
And for forms, if you hit back button you have generally a pop-up, but not always for F5, depending on coding style

Something is wrong with the lap count. I stopped on lap 61, when the leader was on 65, but in the race summary I was taken off 4 more laps, resulting 57. My race analysis says 61, looking at the race I stop at 61, but the summary says 57 (halving my earnings).

At lap 61 you were really on lap 57 because you were 4 laps behind the leader

David is talking about the old race viewer, the new race viewer is basically wrong in this case. You did not drop out when you finished 61 laps, you dropped out when your race leader finished 61 laps.

Not really, not in the lap count itself nor in the earnings.
That said, the shiny new viewer does portray the events a bit oddly in cases of DNF. You need to further add (or subtract depending on your view) the number in the blue flag to your lapcount at the time.
IF you retire on YOUR lap 61 like this https://i.imgur.com/iot2oc7.jpg You get 57 laps
Check lap 62 (already DNF'd) and forwards from that in the traditional viewer, that could clarify the progress of events /RaceReplayHistory.asp
You'll see that on lap 62 you are dropped out and 5 laps behind, and every subsequent lap will increase your "behind" by one more lap, resulting being +10 laps by the end of race.

This thing doesn't make sense, even my race analysis it says 61 laps, but there is an old viewer that no longer uses anyone who says that you only made 57 of them, so it is. Fantastic. Thanks for info.
There is a bug, however, at least in the new viewer and in the race analysis ( https://ibb.co/PNMVPG7 )

@Bruno Cestino (A16) forget looking at the old viewer vs the new viewer, instead look at the rules which state
5.3 Race income
90% race distance rule: If you don't cover 90% of the race distance (as determined in the race summary) you will receive only 50% of the race income according to the table above.
Note that is the race summary that this is based on.
Now look at your race summary and it clearly shows that you completed 57 laps.
I know it is frustrating (I have also been down this path years ago) but there is no bug and there is no error in this case. :(

It's not even about laps, but race time behind the scenes. The leaders time should be not less than 90% of your race time.
Now if that was just put in the rules like this, everyone would be able to understand it.

Your Race analysis should imo show exactly the lap you stopped, not the lap the leader was on when you retired.
Its your own race analysis after all, not the leaders.
Thinking about an F1 type of race, as a very long straight line sprint, just makes my brain fart!

In holiday mode, when I look at a sponsor's details (NegotiateSponsor.asp), the page footer is shown over the top banner. That means, the 'Support GPRO' and 'Back to office' buttons and the copyright note etc., are all floating at the very top edge of the screen.

My season earnings graph has an unnamed component. I believe it is the certificate earnings that is not named and only its share percentage and amount is shown.

How is it possible that Mario Martinez (P8) did not make his qualification 2, finds himself last at the start and in the points at the finish ?
It is especially the last part that surprises me because he could not make any adjustments.
