It's definitely an acquired taste haha. It's melodic death metal, which the death metal purists don't like because it's too soft and the fans of traditional heavy metal don't like because it's too hard :p

I agree though that the higher screams are a bit grating, it'd be better if he stuck with the low gutturals throughout.

Love all the songs Alter Bridge have put out so far including this one, their new album is starting to look promising :) Knowing Alter Bridge as well this is only the most commercialized tracks, the album will have some bangers on there.
