Hi everyone

just had my first race which was a complete disaster. great game so far. It's time to put my arm chair f1 management skills to the test.

Seems normal :) Fuel consumption tire wear, component wear etc. are all unknown variable for you right now.

So the more data you collect about every race you will start to see a pattern emerging and from there you will be able to better calculate those variables and execute a workable strategy.

Have a look at this thread. It shows how to format text, use BBCodes etc.

Chris!
I recommend GO for data collection.

Data collection, data processing. There will be a recipe. Be clever!

This is a great game. I'm fascinated.

I started playing at the end of S24. I experimented.
I know many things. I'm not propagating the word.
The attraction of the game is:
- discovery (car setup, fuel consumption, tire wear, component wear, ...)
- tactics / strategy
- watching a race; excitement.

Is this a jab at a GPROers Anonymous support group? Sadly, there isn't one, probably a good thing too.

Take it one race at a time, or you'll find yourself overwhelmed. Don't worry about not being immediately successful either; Elite champions aren't made overnight.

Joined yesterday, had my first race later that day. So this old fart was thrown in at the deep end.

Enjoyed the race made a couple of places from my starting position of 15th. Would of been in the points but misjudged the tyres and fuel, so had to pit on the last lap. Which dropped me down to 13th.

Oh well the learning curve has only just started.

Greeting everyone. Hailing from sunny Portugal here. Being a F1 fan since mid 80's, finding this game was truly gold. Shame I didn't bump into it sooner. Nevertheless, I'm having a blast so far. Have two races on my belt now and I managed to go from dead last on the first one (last race of last season) to grab 4th place this weekend! Woohooo points! Now, it's time to stay humble and real, and keep working to climb the ladder. Glad to be hear! See you out there on track! Stay safe!

hello lady's and gents, just joined last week before r3, didn't do bad but after reading true the forum and the help and newbie tips hope to improve my game. I have to find my own way to collect and use the data. I've seen a few examples so now it's a matter off time to race more and use it.

Hi. I am Daniel and have been a major Formula 1 fan since I was 5 years old. I started following Formula 1 because of my grandfather. He was a huge fan of Nelson Piquet, Emmo Fittipaldi and Ayrton Senna.
I grew up watching races on Sunday morning, and I was lucky enough to be following the sport during Senna's golden years.
When he dies I quit following it for a couple of years, but resumed going after the sport again some time in 1996 and still going strong.
I found out about GPro while lurking on Reddit, and I must tell you... It's been a great experience so far. Everything is very detail oriented, demanding and people here are phenomenal. Everyboyd is very friendly and protective of the platform and the concepts about the game.
Thank you all!

I have to say the certification test is brilliant

I agree with you there. I did the first try today just to see how I would do without going after every single detail it demanded me to (to test my common sense). I did not get the certification, but I will try again during the weekend and hopefully get it with the proper research in place.
Welcome to you too!

Hi all! :)

I played this game for a short while 10 years ago and decided it was time for a comeback. Seems like the game has not changed dramatically but I have no saved data so will start with a blank Excel sheet.

My first main goal is to promote to the Amateur-level in the end of season 73.

Good luck to everyone!
