Its Tools >>>Settings >>unclick Check for new version.then click apply >>ok.
GO: It won't open.

do you have win 10?
Because maybe we need to download a "frame network" or a "visual studio" to make it work.

EDIT:it's crazy ... win7 works. Win10 no!
I don't explain it.

It worked so far. Today not. I do not understand.

The machine I restart. Maybe it will help.

Yes.
My idea was to find the "check version = true" value and change it to "false".
But the bastard can't be found!

sorry. I didn't explain.
when I start GO, the "check blablabla" window appears.
BUT!, after this, software doesn't start.
So, I can't go to toolblablabla ...I've to find another way.
I wanted to act on the .ini file, but apparently, GO configuration not controlled from there.

Ah ok.
If I have 'check for update' activated I get the 'could not check' error message, but when I click ok the error window closes ang GO opens 2 or 3 seconds later.

Sorry that you are having this problem :(

Have you tried saving your data file, then uninstalling and reinstalling GO?

Yes, with "revo unistaller" (a very good software remover), but after reintstall, problem remain.
update:
I tried to install GO on another win 10 partition and ... it worked!
For about 2 reboots, then ... same problem.
I would really like to know what the hell is wrong.
I'm pretty sure it depends on the .net framework. I'll investigate.

Yep, some params are stored in the data file....

If you send it to me I can change the value but normally it's not a problem.
I prefer to don't care that your data are corrupted 🙄

Eventually, it can be a problem of windows UAC, where files are located in others paths, and registry settings also....
I've nevers tested it because I just took it as it....

New freshly version will come soon, but like I says, I've been busy, and my brother will be married next week, it's not the good time for me 😜

Thank you for your interest and for your dedication to the fate of this software.

As I've already mentioned, it's just computer curiosity, a version that works perfectly I have it.
It runs on win7, and for this, I have to wait for a restart of about 6 minutes, but except this, no problem.

I really want to understand that he laughs at S.O.
UAC off, 3 ways to delete and clean the registry before each reinstall, and yet ... it's wrong!

Tomorrow I try to uninstall the various "Visual Studio C ++" and ".net framework". I want to see what happens.

once a friend of mine said "needless to be afraid of malware, remember, the only real virus is windows!"

PS:I forgot ... best wishes to your brother for the wedding, or maybe ... good luck! : D

I solved my problem:
Simple explanation: Win10 update blocked build 1803.
Long explanation: .. nooo ... forget it, it's easier to format and download win 10 1903 directly, instead of doing what I did.

GO WORKS! Yeah!

Unfair and unjustified.

Sébastien has done a great job of reviving a dead program and giving many newer GPRO players an opportunity to improve their understanding and data gathering possibilities.

If you are able to do better then by all means please step up and make a meaningful contribution,
however I suspect that you are much more suited to just sitting on the sidelines and sniping at others trying to make improvements.

Hello,

Going back after Weddings, Hollidays and others :)

GO only retrieve current data, he always work in this way.

To retrieve past data, the only way is to have be supporter for past races and then, with no limited access it would be possible to get past race analysis, but datas can be "partial" and currently it's not implemented !

Don't forget this is a free tool, yes you don't have a lot of options like *POOF* or *POOF*, but they are not free...

If you have any suggestion for GO, i'm open, but not FOBY options ^^
I'll never make a calculator for tyres or fuel, everyone have to learn by himself or with is team (i'm currently work on a team module)

Is there a way to see which track was the testing track for the season? I've been looking around but I can't find it, even in the current testing tab there's no info for the track, not even the name.

That could maybe be a nice addition.

In this tool, go to menu View >Races, than choose any previous track and go into "testing" tab.

On website, to do that, you have to go through forum and search for 'calendar' term.

If GO is C# app I would recommend to check the .Net version installed.
