I think this shows that you were not ready to promote. This change affected others in your group as well, not only you, so they can't use a lot of CT either. If you were ready to promote, then you could promote to Master under these new circumstances (in my opinion).

With all the respect I may have for you, you never reached Pro so I don't think you are the right person to give advices.

But anyway, when I say I was 100% sure I had what it takes to promote, I know what I'm saying.

My driver has more than enough Stamina and Experience to promote in Pro. Easily, even without having to use 100CT every race.

My Staff & Facilities are the best in my group. I'm doing the fastest pit EVERY race.

The car level is regularly from top 10 to top 3.

But since the season started, something has changed. I could no longer be on top 5 of the grid and during the race I'm constantly blocked and I'm unable to overtake, the only thing I can achieve are DM's that takes me to 15th or 20th place.

Suddenly, my driver become "obsolete", and didn't have what it takes to qualify properly, and with this new sistem, if you don't qualify in the top 5, it's very hard to score.

so what went wrong? Everyone have to solve energy problem. Others likely got rid of this problem faster and better.

So....Quali 1st (you have promo ready driver remember), block, do best pit, continue blocking. Easy.....Wait, not. Blocking is removed since energy feature :) Wrong advice, sorry mate.

With your qualies you would have had rather hard time promoting even without energy. And they are not affected by energy.

Yeah, right... this race I was only blocked for 80 laps... not even relevant to mention...

I strongly doubt the quali risks have that big effect. You were bad in race 1 too where you had all the energy to be spent to quali. And if quali is that important, maybe you are using your driver's energy to wrong thing.

Race 1 I had a random...

I'm using 60CT, wich is the maximum my driver can take without running out of energy.

I do regularly top 3 best time, when I'm not blocked. But it's impossible to overtake. I overtake 1 or 2, then have a DM and loose 6 places...

You're consistently +-1.5secs off the pace in qualifying in Q1 alone. The energy change is not the reason for this. Hard to accept perhaps, but I'm afraid you're just kidding yourself if you think energy change is the reason for this.

This is bizarre, I must say. I have been achieving incredible results this season with a not-so-good package so I don't understand how you can't do it with your incredible driver, car, etc. The only other reason I could think of is strategy but I don't think that's the case since you're in pro. :) Also, it was hard to get decent results when starting from lower than 5th place without the driver energy feature, and that's how it should be. I'm just guessing that you aren't as ready as you thought you were. To me, it seems that this driver energy feature actually made life easier for those who have a really good package because the weaker guys can't use as much CT now.

Without mentioning specific figures, is there any way you think the energy system could be improved?

Yes. Erasing it would do the trick.

And now the bottom line:

After this Energy feature, I'm loosing interest for a game I absolutely loved since I started playing it back in season 18. Before this season started, leaving this game could eventually be an option in 20 years from now. But now, as soon as my motivation drops to zero, I will just stop playing GPRO. As simple as that. And this is not a threat, is just the way I feel.

i never read the forums and i was trying to find how to disable these notifications when i found this....
and i can't agree more

I remembered this video where this feature energy should be too

Ladies and gentlemen, it's time. Time for an interview with the man who embarrasses Arnold Schwarzenegger by mailing polaroids of his physique (or would if he could spell Arnold's name); the man whose arteries laugh in the face of atherrosclerosis; the man who likes his sausages the way he likes his women: plentiful and well done. (Ed: That last one was a bit tasteless, are you sure he won't mind?)

So sit back, relax, and prepare to imbibe the thoughts of the world's most muscular pirate!

Cyfarchion, Jensen. Tell everyone a bit about who you are, and what you get up to outside GPRO.

Hello all :) I'm Jensen and I'm from Wales ! I'm a full time Dad of 4 kids and due to have baby number 5 at the end of this month !

I used to smoke and take loads of drugs, M-Cat Coke Wizz Weed and Drink like a fish in the sea, then I woke up after a few spells in H.M.P and started putting my family 1st instead of my habits. Now I can say I'm a good dad and my family are proud of me.
I go to my home GYM and use steroids to help me out and I LOVE THEM !

How did you find GPRO, and what got you hooked on the game?

I started playing poker and 1 year into playing poker. I came across GPRO most probably advertised on some porn site I was smashing one out well the wife was sleeping haha.
I was hooked from the sound of the horn on race day and joining Team GB my 1st ever team and the fact that back when I joined it was hard to fit in and I love trying, My spelling and grammar etc and I'm just me some times hard to understand.

You hail from the misty valleys of Wales. Tell us about this amazing country, and the parts of it that are best for a holiday.

Wales is simply the best country in the UK that is a fact ! We have the best Lamb in the world fact ! I'm so proud to call my self Welsh :) Nice places to visit in N.Wales Bangor Conwy Llandudno all nice places plenty of hotels and a lot of places do great food.

You're one of the best-known faces on the GPRO forum. What is it about the forum that you love, and what advice would you give to newbies who are perhaps afraid to post?

I love the people and the funny stuff that goes on and its down to us GPRO oldies to keep the forums active and show the newbies that there are great people here.
To all the newbies I would say post within the rules make friends and have a laugh. Fernando from Brazil his posts were wicked in chat last night met a lovely man called Rob can see him on the forums being enjoyed.
We need Mr M Winkley he is a legend and does this game favors.
There is a list of us you know who you are and we all try to add are bit to the forum.

Your GPRO career has had a few interruptions in the past, but you've had a lot of fun in rookie and amateur. Do you have your sights set on the higher leagues this time? Do you think league progression in GPRO is vital to one’s enjoyment of it?

I missed my 1st ever race if I'm right was at a birthday party all the other gaps was due to jail.
You don't have to be in bigger groups to have fun. you get less respected around here if you are in rookie your hole life etc
For me its a game and all about having fun. I love to win home GP's I would love to go back to rookie and do the 17 17 17 17 then try it in ammy. To be the best ever I would say you would need that on your CV Elite I'm not arsed to tell yeah the truth passed that stage.

In the past you've been keen to train your drivers from a very young age, a method that some managers find boring/stressful. What makes this approach more attractive to you than just choosing older drivers from the market?

Well now that would be telling LOL I got taught off Sion about Talented drivers and how to train them and the Winkley bro's
on car testing etc Now you would be a fool to not listen to people like that !

You've been in a few teams since your GPRO debut. Tell us a bit about your team history, and what you look for when joining a team.

My 1st Team was Team GB very grateful because it got me started. Then I made Rockstar Racing with Geri it was great everything was sweet but I went to Jail and then it was not the same. Teams after that was friends in the game. Now I'm with the Pirates and I must say I'm very impressed on how these teams are. Its very much a team and all data info etc I'm really enjoying it and they are a great bunch of lad and ladies.

What are your thoughts on the new driver energy feature? How has it impacted your plans this season, and what do you think it will mean for GPRO's future?

At 1st I hated it because it changes the way I work "If In doubt flat out" now I like it. It saves on the car parts and its just low CT faster tires etc its something new that is nice to figure out. I don't plan a season I do one race at a time its seems to work.

In the past you've expressed a desire to put more emphasis on racing, rather than management. If you were admin for a day, would you take steps to move the game in this direction? Do you think this would help keep more players interested in the game?

Its a racing game so should be about racing wright :)
How I see the game now I think we are going in the right direction.

Tell us about some of your favourite GPRO legends. Do you think there's a particular character trait that they all share?

Mr M Winkley is a Legend Luke Curly Mick Stu you Phil the list is endless because in my eyes these are the legends of the game. Winning Elite makes you a Champion doesn't make you a Legend. The people that make silly games post BS etc everyday keeping the forums active making other people enjoy it. These are the true legends of the game.

Talk about some of your favourite GPRO moments, or any races that stand out for you.

My 1st podium Monaco My 1st Win Interlagos and my 1st win on home ground. And beating Joan with a Talented driver was good times for me. Best race ever was Jensen Vs Onur A71 3 races back, we did are Q times then showed each other what we had but kept are strats to our self's, I lost haha

Any shout-outs or final thoughts?

Shout to everyone on GPRO that gets involved !

And good luck to everyone at Edifice with the title chase GL :)

Many thanks, Jensen. Your warmth, enthusiasm and humour always add a touch of light to the forum. Best of luck for the future.
