Once again I have left this a bit late so this will have to be done pretty quickly to get in and score from the beginning but I play this game on-line already with another team .

You will have $70M to spend and have to choose 2 cars and 2 drivers within certain restrictions. (Hope the link is ok and not banned- shouldn't be)

https://realityf1.com

I am just trying to gauge the interest before I create a league for us on GPRO. If there are 10 - 12 managers who want to play then I will create our own league.

As I said it is a bit late especially as the season starts this Friday

It is not run by me but by the site itself - I will just be the league owner, so if you are interested just post Join

Here is a snippet from the rules.

A player must select two drivers and two cars within a budget of £70 million. Players cannot choose the same driver twice but may choose the same car. A player must also select a pit stop strategy.

Points are awarded according to the performance of the components of your team at each Grand Prix and your team performance in Reality F1

Championship points will be awarded at every race of the 2018 Formula One season. You are strongly encouraged to register your team before the first race of the season: Australian Grand Prix (23rd March 2018). Teams registered after the start of the season will be eligible for entry into the championship and can join leagues but will not be awarded points from any races they have missed.

Points system - Any driver making it out of the first qualifying session will receive 5 points.

Grid position - Points are awarded for the first ten positions.

Pos Points
Pole 12.5 points
2nd 9 points
3rd 7.5 points
4th 6 points
5th 5 points
6th 4 points
7th 3 points
8th 2 points
9th 1 point
10th 0.5 points

Race - Points are awarded for the first ten positions.

Pos Points
1st 25 points
2nd 18 points
3rd 15 points
4th 12 points
5th 10 points
6th 8 points
7th 6 points
8th 4 points
9th 2 points
10th 1 point
Additional points

10 points for finishing race, as classified by FIA irrespective of position.
5 points for fastest lap.
3 points per place for places made from grid position.
1 point is deducted for every place lost from grid position.

Most importantly: Drivers must finish to score points from the race (including fastest lap points). However, you will still gain qualifying points, if applicable. Retirements are not eligible for point deductions due to lost places except where a retired driver is still classified as a finishing.

In modern F1 strategy is everything, therefore 10 points are awarded for selecting the same pit stop strategy as the winner of the Grand Prix.

That is about it in a nutshell. I played it most of last season in someone else's league and really enjoyed it, so thought I would create my own league for GPRO this season

Guys - enter this code if you want to join

vUREcv7cQcEHpJ

and I will see you there as I have also put a 2nd team in (need a different username and e-mail address if you want to do the same) as the more we have the better chance we have of being near the top of the mini-leagues. Some of them do have 10-12 members

Should be good fun

Don't forget my F1 Prediction either

1st race in and I still think Vettel was lucky but there we go - swings and roundabouts huh

1st table and Peter takes a slender lead ..... but there is a long way to go

I'm sorry but I wouldn't say it was luck... He did drive good that race and we have seen that pirellis can last longer sometimes. Not a Vetel fan and I would of loved to see Ricciardo or Bottas on podium(win) but can't denai Vettel had a great race/weekend.
Not sure if it will last...

hmmm not sure I agree as even he said he was not in control ... but he did manage to stay there but only cause Bottas does not have the same bottle to get past as others have

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/formula1

I agree that I think it will change in the races to come. It will be interesting but I do think Ferrari have a little more to them this season and it will be a much more contested season

With Monaco just around the corner looks like Peter wants to hang on to 1st place
