Hi Harno,

I did check my points, and they are correct except in stage 1. You didn't give points for the most combatif driver in stage 1, and it was Roglic who won those points that day. And the most combatif in stages two and three are wrong.

Combattività di tappa :

stage 1 : Roglic
stage 2 : Cima , and no Ciccone.
stage 3 : Demare , and no Hatsuyama.
stage 4 : Cima

Shit, shit, shit no maglia rosa for me. The calculations are wrong 😭😢😢

Stage 1 :

Roglic = 100 + 50 + 25 + 25 + 20 = 220
Yates = 75 + 10 = 85
Hart = 20

Total = 325

Stage 2 :

Roglic = 25
Viviani = 75
Ackermann = 100 + 25 = 125
Ewan = 60

Total = 285

Stage 3 :

Roglic = 25
Ackermann = 60

Total = 85

Stage 4 :

Roglic = 30 + 25 = 55
Yates = 5
Ewan = 75
Ackermann = 50 + 25 = 75
Carapaz = 100

Total = 310

325 + 285 + 85 + 310 = 1005.

I don't want the pink jersey if it ain't realy mine. 😔

Maybe it is better to check all the scores all over because I noticed some more errors already. If you want some help Harno, just say so. 👍✌

Yes, it is no problem to help Harno of course.

I checked all the results of stage 1 already, except those of Moisés Cunha because I don't know his CORRECT team. In the team Moisés Cunha placed here he did have three leaders.

Everything is checked and double checked now. All results are correct, if managers are not sure just ask me I do have all the individual results from each manager in each stage on paper.

I just mis the results from manager Moisés Cunha, because I don't know his exact team.

Good luck today everybody. :)

P.S Stage two winner is Kuba Szajbel of course. After checking everything for a third time, I did see that I also made a little mistake. Baumbauer and Heuvel did receive 25 points to much. So I will adapt the scores in the results of stage 4.

Sorry my mistake.

I began to be afraid of having done more ^^
I calculate with my head ( and it's boring, there are numbers everywhere :D ) , I try to do the best, but watch your result to be sure.

For Moisés Cunha, 7 guys, I excluded Zakarin.
And for Marc Whitney, he played after the 1 stage, I gave him the score of the last one (to be fair as he knew the result, and not to be too far).

Yes i'm not strict ah ah it's for fun :)

Thanks for all !

Pas de problème Harno, c'est qu'un jeux comme tu dis. J'ai controles toutes les resultats moi aussi, et ils sont juste maintenant.

Merci Harno et Upeo. 😊👍✌

By the way Tom Dumoulin did start today but decided not to go further after a few km. So people can switch him for another cyclist for tomorrow's stage and the rest of the Giro of course.

Out:

Btw, good job with our standings!

Well from now on he can also change Dumoulin to some non-leader, so probably not necessary to exclude any more guys from him on next stage onwards. That is, if he manages to pick a non-leader :)

I wrote mr. Cunha this afternoon, and he wanted the excluded Zakarin to be replaced by Marezcko from tomorrow on.

MANAGERS DON'T FORGET TO REPLACE DUMOULIN, otherwise you will start with only 7 riders tomorrow. Please make your changes before the start of tomorrows stage, which will start at 11:25 CET.

Now that I think about it, free replacements in case of withdrawal do not make much sense. At this stage, sure, no problem for me to switch Dumoulin for Roglic, but for example what if a rider from your team retires at stage 20. Should you be able to swap him for any jersey winner just to grab final standing bonus?

I can see two way outs, either give final jersey bonus points to people who selected their jersey winners before stage 1, or simply remove this rule.

Very good point indeed Kuba, I was thinking the same.

It is of course super cool from Harno to organize this competition, but it was very short day. So I guess that there was no time enough to go deeper into detail when it comes to the game rules ?

But on the other hand which driver will pull back one day before the end of the Giro. The last ten days of this Giro are a real hell, so if you survived that it would be strange not to finish this Grand Tour IMHO.

We should ask Harno about this, it is his game in the end. And it's real fun. :)

I was thinking about setting up a Tour de France competition for this year, the game rules will be slightly different then. (I will put it online in June already.)

And everybody is invited of course, the more managers the more fun. :)

On the other hand, you don't have Dumoulin in your team. But you are scoring 25 bonuspoints each day with Lopez Moreno.

I do have Dumoulin in my team, so replacing him with Lopez Moreno would allow me to also score those 25 points each day.

So some managers will benefit from switching/replacing drivers. hihihi ;)

Good point Upeo and nice try Kuba. 😉✌🤣

(Just kidding of course.)

But I don't see the point in changing the game rules halfway a game. We knew this before we started this competition. Some will benefit from it and some others not, that's the game. 👍👍👍

Okay, I don't mind keeping these rules for Giro, however in my opinion few things need to be changed for TdF and Vuelta. And Harno, please don't get me wrong, I really appreciate you set up this Challenge, but my wish is to make this game a little bit more playable. Here are my suggestions:

1. I really enjoyed Jukka's swap system as it kept the game alive throughout the tours. Cyclist selection/value can be changed nonetheless it should be present in previous version or another.

2. If we agree to 2 sprinter/2 leader rule a complete list of sprinters/leaders is a must. For example not including Ackermann in a sprinter list when books had it as a main sprint contender was a mistake.

3. I don't think each jersey should be valued the same.

4. I like the sprint/climb bonus but the amount of points that is given to breakaways is too much. I would decrease sprint points and perhaps differentiate climb points based on hill category.

5. Upeo, I really like showing stage winners/maglia rosa in every classification. That's probably cause I'm winning lol ;), but I hope it stays.
